Yes. Yes it did. Did you get my message about Sherlock fan movie night when the chat room gets fixed? Things like this could easily be dissected in real time.

I would love to do a Sherlock fan movie night. I know it has been done by other forums. Can't remember what they were watching and I didn't stay long...but they seemed to be having fun.

I guess no idea is new under the sun. Yeah, a Scandal in Belgravia would be a good one. Seems the most questions are from TGG & HLV thou. What do you think?

Okay, so finally I know what Molly gave Sherlock in that unopened Christmas present.  According to Louise Brealey, it was a Borat Mankini.  LOL!!!!

There is some speculation that she was joking.  :D

Oh, right -- thanks!  Still, anyone who's joined the forum in the past few months might not know about that other thread.

Ha... today the Irene Adler account on Twitter - the official BBC1 account had the following -

@The_Whip_Hand  58m

Just had a text from Sherlock that says "I'm not hungry times infinity plus one".  By the laws of preschool, I think he's officially won...

That is hilarious, but apparently it's not the official Adler account.  According to the BBC, theirs is @TheWhipHand (without the underscores).  Frankly, I like the one you found better (see this post too).  But she's clearly not the real Irene Adler -- she knows who Benedict Cumberbatch is!

Well pooh... it is definitely a funnier account, tho.

Exactly he was initially attracted to her. I think he even liked the idea of her & Sherlock getting together. Hamish... If you're looking for baby names. The slight smile on his face when she sneaks into Shirls bed.

I loved these scenes.  It reminds me of very genuine "best friend" situations, when you both see someone incredibly hot and start flirting, then it becomes clear that the person in question likes one of you more, so the other one pulls back and starts doing quiet "get a room" jokes to cheer you on.

In fact, rather not unlike the way I met Mr. Boton.  Except, of course, he wasn't an internationally-known Dom, nor was he my client.  At least, its true that both my best friend and I started flirting, until she noticed him looking at me and immediately downshifted into cheering us on.

Funny, I never saw any attraction towards Irene on John's part at all. To me, she always seemed like the one female who turned him off.

Oh, I think he was flirting with her right at first -- force of habit?  But then he changed his mind pretty quickly.

Especially the way John responded to her upon her saying she likes detective stories... His body language, I believe he licked his lips... He was feelin' Irene.

That's the same reason they say he was feelin' Sherlock. I just think his lips are dray. Uh, dry.

Uhm no, he never responded with his body & eyes toward Sherlock that he did with the Woman. I implore you to watch that scene again. Much bigger difference than John @ restaurant with Sherlock in SIP, than John on the couch with Irene.

Will have to rewatch that again even though I just watched it this morning.

The whole party scene - lots of subtext in the interactions between Molly and Sherlock, mainly that they spend a LOT of time together in the labs.  He tells her not to make jokes - probably because he's heard her attempt at jokes before.

Then she says to Lestrade:  "I wasn't expecting to see you.  I thought you were going to be in Dorset for Christmas."

Now, who would have gossiped that to her?  SHERLOCK.

Then she says to John: "And John, I hear you're off to your sister's.  Is that right?  Sherlock was complaining--" (off his glare) "saying."

Again, here's absolute proof that Sherlock is gossiping to Molly during lab time.  So that banter they exchange no doubt has given her the confidence to express her love with that gift because they are so familiar with each other.

This leads more into TRF when she READS him.  He's so used to reading others, and she reads him and sees right through his pain and totally throws him off guard.  She's more into his world than he has realized.
