Shoot the Wall (A.K.A. The Rant Thread)

I finished decorating our tree today, and since we'd been talking about candles, I made a point of burning one for the occasion. Ahhhh, yes, the ambience.

We aren't remotely religious in my family, it's just an excuse really to get together and eat and drink a bit too much. It's been pretty understated the last few years, just me and my parents, which definitely makes things less stressful - less chance of any of those cliche family blow outs you see in movies. I like decorating though, I like pretty things (is that why I like BC?):D Off to get more lights later to wrap around the banister. 

I was also inspired to light some candles over the weekend!

That's why we need candles, to assist in accurately picking particular nerves of voodoo dolls. Traditional anyhow poking is boring. XD

That too. The woman is utterly devoid of logic, she will not allow me to have access to my skull but also doesn't want me shooting the walls. I have to have something to talk to or I shall go insane. I acquired the shrunken head as a replacement; it doesn't have a skull so she can't complain.

BTW, I was right about the 3rd one, sitting on the shelf next to the window. :D

I'm always a bit confused by the skull print on the wall, it doesn't seem to fit, doesn't look like something Sherlock would own. If it was an anatomical print or something I could see it, but not just a decorative skull pic.

"The one with, oh what's her name, the Asian girl?"

Barely avoids hissing. "No that's Elementary. The English one."

"Oh with Ben, uh uh, Ben something something something. The one who played Dr Strange?"

"Yes." Shark's grin. "You should come over and we'll have a Sherlock night."

 

Though I may have then spoiled it by rambling about Mary and baby Watson.

I thought she meant Soo Lin at first, which I thought was a weird character to pick out rather than any of the more memorable ones. Spoiler wise, she won't remember, this is a girl who insists on calling ouija boards Luigi boards despite being told multiple times it's not Luigi. I find it hilarious so just let her carry on.

 

My shrunken head is wearing a gold bangle on top as a kind of halo, and I've sprayed some glitter on him to make him festive.
