I used to like it, but that's because I have watched it WAY too often

Sounds like your dad did his best to pick a present you'd really like, and is merely a little behind the times.

Aren't we all voodoo practitioners here? I have a shrunken head on the top of my Christmas tree.

If I had a tree this year, there would be more than one shrunken head on it. Of real people. Each one with a name tag attached to it - it's so easy to confuse them when they are… shrunken.

Real people? Please tell me one of the shrunken head is Donald Trump

Eurgh, who would want a Trump head sullying their Christmas tree?

True... though you'd probably have to put up with him gabbling at you in your own living room - I don't think being a shrunken head would stop him.

Who else are you thinking of adding to your collection?

Jfc ONE DAY, can we just have ONE day where nothing terrible happens?

It doesn't seem so, does it? :(

No it doesn't.  I wake up to see George Michael has died...but maybe I missed this from yesterday.

I'm afraid to read any of the "XY-news" threads…

Carrie Fisher is in a hospital after a heart attack. Thanks God she's stable now.

The greatest evacuation in the post war history yesterday in German Augsburg (a WWII bomb was found at a building site), and people spending a whole day away from their homes, sounds almost like a humorous interlude.

PS I also wanted to shoot the wall on Saturday, because of my headless packing I spent my Christmas with my mum, but no internet. Didn't even been able to send out greetings. angry5-1.gif

Except she isn't *gross sobbing*

And now we've lost Richard Adams too (he wrote Watership Down). At least he lived a nice long life. I'm just in shock about Carrie Fisher.

And Debbie Reynolds. I pity Billie, it can't be easy to lose both your mother and your grandmother in less than a week.

Jeez. The hits just keep on coming.

So it's my frigging first day of work after two weeks off. Everyone left and holiday is over.

That is yucky by itself.

Then I happened to visit a big construction site where I have no business to be there for and dropped my motorcycle key there, yep-P, between all the mess, heavy vehicles, trench, dirts and dusts. After scouring it for couple of times, it is nowhere to be found, so I had to uber my way home during lunch time to fetch the spare key. I skipped dinner last night for some reason, didn't have time for breakfast and not sure what would I do if my spare key was not in the same place I remember putting three years ago.

Thankfully, it's still there. Then I had good lunch, and just now, some kind hearted sould found my key.

Hey! So this is not supposed to be in rant thread!! Where is the fairy tale thread? :p

Over and out.

Posted

You do know, don't you, that "over and out" means "keep talking, but I won't be listening." ?

So, ever obedient, I shall do as you say. Let's see, what shall I talk about ... Okay, done! :p

Weevils.

Posted

Go right ahead.

Well okay, if you insist. A weevil is a type of beetle from the Curculionoidea superfamily. They are usually small, less than 6 mm (0.24 in), and herbivorous. Over 60,000 species are in several families, mostly in the family Curculionidae (the true weevils). Some other beetles, although not closely related, bear the name "weevil", such as the biscuit weevil (Mmm, biscuits), which belongs to the family Anobiidae...
