Molly's problem (or possibly salvation) with Sherlock is that he really does not seem to find her attractive. I think he loves her as a friend and respects her as a human being, he's a little awed by the depth and scope of her affection for him, but she's not the kind of person he'd want running around his mind palace with no clothes on or splashing around in his bathtub.

I don't think he'd want her naked in his mind palace either, but I think it's because she IS his friend, and that would be a little creepy!

And yet... I'm sure she's had him naked in her mind.  ;)

Sherlock and Molly - Adorably morbid

Nice. It's maybe because I'm quite new, but I still stumble upon this little details (looks, facial expressions) that I overlooked watching whole scenes.

That was cute, Jenny!  :)

Well, at least I can console myself with my belief that while Sherlock will likely end up with no one, if he did, I still think Molly would be the best person for him.  lol

Also, that video made me realize that Janine was very, very wrong in her statement that she's the only one who knows what he's really like.

 I think Janine has no idea what Sherlock is really like, that's just something he said to her while he was pretending to be in love. Sherlock likely did some research "what to say to a woman you are dating" and because he's smart, he didn't go for the obvious like how pretty Janine is, but found more subtle and effective wooing phrases. I mean, what woman wouldn't fall for "only you know what I'm really like"?

Agreed Sherlock probably did the research to woo her just so to make the break-in all the easier.  His response to John about his relationship with Janine being affirming was from a book after all.

Good grief, guys.  So I started looking at gifs of Janine and Sherlock for scientific research and all, of course.

And then I stumbled upon the Sherlock - Molly kiss and I CANNOT STOP looking at it.  Someone send help.

Oh, it comes to us all, Sitty :D

Do you see the little camera trick? The camera itself comes nearer and at the same time zooms out, so you have a weird change of perspective outside of the window. It's quite common, but I wonder if they have some special algorithm for that, so the figures in the near don't change their size. It probably has a name, that trick.

I hate them and their chemistry in that kiss... and Gatiss for teasing us with that.

And yes, Molly definitely should have worked her fingers into those curls a bit more...

And do you remember your reaction to this moment? big-grin.gif

My only regret is that it's so obviously not real, and I realized that immediately.  I just wanted to believe!!!

Let's just compare that to this sad, but very real, kiss:

Oh, and I wonder each time why she doesn't go for these locks. Grab them, Molly and don't let go! It's a fantasy after all...

Yeah, but it's Anderson's fantasy, and I doubt his mind is very occupied with the female side of things...

Maybe we should start shipping Anderson and Molly.... eeeewwwww

Actually - how come they know each other?

Do we ever see them together in the show?  I guess not?  I can't think of an instance at the moment.  I suppose I've assumed he knows her since he's with the police and so has had interactions with her as a result of her working in the morgue doing autopsies?  For cases maybe?  But then does Greg know her through work, or does Greg just know her because of Sherlock?

Posted

I'd say Greg & Anderson know her from cases. Anything where forensics & homocide collide could bring them together.

Yes, I agree.  While they never have a scene together except in the mind palace, Anderson has done enough investigative work during Sherlock's absence to believe that Molly Hooper was not only in on it, but that she and Sherlock possibly had something going on.  He probably knew her from visits to the morgue with Lestrade on various murder cases, even as far back as ASIP or even further back.

That makes sense. Because how could he know Molly was involved?

He just made a deduction that proved right. Partially. Still a good one, Anderson! :D
