Gee, and here I thought I had it bad, with a birthday in mid-December.  I used to get Christmas-and-birthday presents -- but at least I got my own cake.  (And for the past three years, I've gotten a Hobbit movie!)

I did a google search on Rupert the other day just because (think I wanted to see what he looked like not as Lestrade) and some of the pics from his younger days...Um yeah   with a couple that had a little bit of :blush2: with it from whatever movie he had been in.

*Sigh*... What is wrong with my femininity, I wonder, that I am not attracted to Lestrade. I like him. He's a decent fellow and all, but if I met him in real life, we'd have absolutely nothing to say to each other. He's so... male. :lol:

That's funny, that's usually the way I am. But there's something about Lestrade that's so calming and steadying. And he doesn't insist on having his own way, which is very unusual for someone so ... male. Anyway, it's his personality, not his looks, that I find so attractive. Altho the looks don't hurt..... :p

For me it's slightly superficial.  I like Rupert's looks.  The less superficial is his acting abilities.  If Lestrade were real, probably not my personality type.

For me, Lestrade's attraction is partly appearance, partly that he seems to be a thoroughly decent fellow -- and partly that he strikes me as just a bit unpredictably naughty.  I suppose that last factor is just my head canon, since we really have no evidence of what he's like in a relationship (other than having been willing -- up to a point -- to work things out with his ex-wife).
