Nice! You got a good photo of it, too, it's amazing how to me how many artists overlook that.

TEACH ME YOUR WAYS. :grovel:

On Tumblr I show each step from my original drawing to the final.

This is the story of the illustration:

Wanderlust art contest

Art Title: 'A Fine Wine'

Materials: Ink & Gouache on illustration paper.

Dimensions: 14 x 17

I love ink, give me a ball point pin & watch me go! My favorite things to ink are trees & rocks, because they have no real rules. A tree's branches can go in whatever direction you chose & there's a lot of freedom in rendering the bark & roots of a tree as well. Rocks have no definite shape. They are sqround ( my word for square & round), with lots of angles and curves. I'm not afraid to add shadows to rocks, gives them personality & depth.

The reason I chose to call this piece 'A Fine Wine', is because its a collective of my favorite things. A tree, rocks that I chose to layer into a sort of mountain, a tangy beverage fall & the sun rolled up into a bottle of wine. Anywhere you'd travel to in the world could inspire these things. I truly hope you enjoy this graphic novel inspired piece I put together.

Please check me out on Tumblr under Jesskayding & JessicahExhibits.

Also in the above Tumblr post I mentioned a lot of colors that didn't make it to the final piece. After a few thumbnails it seemed to work best with less.

While checking the current price of a first-class postage stamp, I discovered that there are now Harry Potter stamps:

Wonder what it would take to get some Sherlock stamps?

If you ever find Sherlock stamps please let us know? Not that the Forum wouldn't be buzzing with news should that ever happen.

49 cents apiece?

Plenty of Sherlock stamps, but no Sherlock stamps yet, according to this site.

Ah,got it. Lots of Sherlock Holmes related material just no BBC Sherlock, as yet. But can they be very far away?

I suspect they'll be VERY far away ... from me, as I don't live in England. Unless some sweet, kind, compassionate English-type personage sends me a present for my birthday.

I know! And I have noticed that the US is still snubbing Sherlock in the magazine department. I was in the drug store yesterday and the new TV Guide had the new Dr Who on the cover. I have never seen Sherlock's picture plastered on the cover of anything here. At least not here in Maine.

Well, you must admit that Doctor Who has something like a forty-year head start here.  Maybe we'll see a Sherlock cover on TV Guide somewhere around 2050!

Oh, great. By then I won't be able to remember who or what Sherlock is.

Actually, this Emmy win might put a little speed into the process. Maybe in 45 years?

Oh, good point about the Emmys!  Cumberbatch and Freeman will be only in their 80's then, so the show should still be going strong.  Who knows,  it might even be up to Series 10!  :D

I could happily spend the rest of my life without ever seeing a Sherlock cover on TV Guide -- just as long as I keep seeing Sherlock episodes on my television (or whatever they're shown on by then).

It's true, I don't get the disregard the US has for BBC Sherlock. The Insider kept saying Breaking Bad won the most Emmy's. I tweeted them, lies, lies,lies... You know Sherlock got the most Emmy's, Hollywood politics.

They never responded.

I don't know, my perverse nature makes me rather glad that Sherlock isn't such a huge hit as, say, Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones. I often find myself rebelling against stuff that is very, very popular... (Just ask me about Harry Potter). I don't know why this is.

Did Breaking Bad win the most "Emmy Night" Emmys?  Some people count only the ones awarded on live television.

Sherlock won seven in all Breaking Bad garnered six in all.

Right -- but of those seven, Sherlock won three awards on "Emmy Night."  How many of Breaking Bad's six were awarded that night?

Yeah, let's watch some Sherlock on our hologram projectors once they come out. :P

That would be AWESOME.

I'm sure something in your Myers-Briggs profile will explain it. ;)

Yep. Five to Sherlock's three.

Yep, if you count the Creative Arts awards. Which I didn't even see them announce during the prime time show, did I miss it or did they skip it? They used to always at least mention who won.
