Did Little Charles write that?  I'm confused.

I mean, he can serenade me all day long with that voice, but....

ETA:  Fine, off to google... so I can figure out if I should be happy or sad about my quiz results...

I don't blame you but there's more to it than that beyond just a dysfunctional family.

Technically they're half siblings

What?!

They're half siblings?!

Yep, and that's what is especially devastating.

I knew there was another reason I never watched this movie. Thank goodness someone posted all the BC bits on YouTube and spared me the agony. :p

I'm still a bit not OK over it, and I haven't even seen anything... just read a brief description.

Well, actually, the whole movie is a bit of agony.  Super-hyped angst among every character.  Ugh... and then the one relationship that seemed to have some hope... the most devastating.

About the size of it. I find it can be an accurate description of some dysfunctional families and in a few years I will probably watch it with my son, then discuss it.

Well, everybody knows that Southerners are pretty much all like that, right?   :P   Just from hearing their accent, you can tell they're stupid (or at least, terminally ignorant).

I've actually heard intelligent, well-educated people (Northerners and Europeans) say that sort of thing, though not always in so many words.  And apparently Hollywood subscribes to the same stereotype.

Reminds me of this series of videos:

Actually, I think that video is reasonably accurate on the dialect.

When I first moved to Massachusetts, it took me a while to understand some expressions.  Wonder if anyone's done "Sh*t Northern Women Say"?

I ended up with Sherlock in the quiz, which surprised me because I picked things that matched the person I like best in the world, my husband. And he is nothing at all like Sherlock (for which I am grateful, because as fun as Sherlock is to watch, I sure wouldn't want to be in any kind of relationship with him).

The dogs are playing 'chase the beagle' in the yard. Anyone still remember when the last time you let yourself enjoy a summer night under the stars? What did you do? ^^

Posted

Watch the stars and Leonids meteors.

Camping? ^^

No, just drove to the next hill. Parked in the middle of a field path and leaned on the cars front lid (nicely warm). But the moskitos didn't let me stay for long.

And it's a while, sadly.

Looking back, those who use Irene Adler as profile picture tends to be like fireworks; rocketing high to the sky, flare brilliantly for a short moment then disappeared. Too bad, they seems like fun people to be around

I see promise with a lot of new voices and then after less than 20 posts they are gone.

What happened, I wonder. This is one of the most busy exclusively SHERLOCK forums available.

Perhaps one or two will be back after the special? (Keeping my fingers crossed...)

I saw you accidentally made the same post in another thread and that you'd have liked to hide it there. I went ahead and did so (seems you need to be a mod to hide posts, which is odd, I always thought everybody could hide their own, but oh well). If you don't want it hidden after all, let me know and I'll unhide it again.

Anyone *can* hide their own posts, but it takes a mod to delete them altogether.
