Wow, it's feature length! And a great cast! Apparently that link doesn't work here in the US of A, but here's one that does, for us USofA-ians.

There's also a game based on it here.

It's not even 11PM and I want to go to bed, despite the fact that I crawled out of it at noon.

Don't like to be bored. Not used to that. Damn pressure to DO SOMETHING,

and at the same time nothing seems to be interesting enough to move your butt from the sofa.

Isn't it hateful...

Overworked for 3 weeks and than 100 to nothing. Not healthy.

Been there, done that. Gotta give yourself a kick and go visit a twine ball or something tomorrow!

That would only last her one day.

Now, try to unroll a giant ball of twine by starting with pulling a string and see how far you get.

Keep your data on and update us. :)

Other ideas that are more Moriartish and Sherlockish:

1. Give us a case to solve in certain number of hours.

Fail to do so, release forum bug that will shuffle all member's usernames, avatars, signatures, and content page.

Personal attempt to correct this will trigger another bug that changes all avatars into cowdance. :cowdance:

2. Deduce and broadcast all member's measurements.

We don't even have tween balls here. :( And I'm definitely not making one.

Fly to Minnesota, the twine ball is in the middle of nowhere. It's easily within 2 hours of my place.

Go bungee jumping, but with twine! Will me your fortune first, though. :d

Can anybody please kick me out of this board?

Have to pack my stuff. The plan is heading north tomorrow to flee the heat, with no goal set (aiming at Lüneburg Heath though).

Prepared to sleep at highway parking lots if necessary. :D

But where's the fun in that. You are supposed to pack a shirt and check the forum then pack another 2-3 pieces of clothing and check the forum. After you click refresh, you do some packing while the page reloads. That's what I do sometimes.

Was out to dump stuff at collection station, and buy food. So what you saw was surely some crazy bot pretending to be me.

Yeah, sure... ;)

(Or Mary's response in TSOT modified by a word: let's go with that)

Just want to say that I've been quite busy recently so I haven't shown up here very often. At the moment there's a lot of work for me to do - fortunately, so I'm earning some money :-). So don't worry if I won't be here that often for the coming weeks.

There are several of us who that happens to occasionally because of work/going on holiday or something else.

thecreatorsproject.vice.com/blog/a-machine-is-visualizing-the-ghostly-wifi-waves-that-surround-us?linkId=8944455 Reminds me to the way Sherlock visualized accessing information in his mind palace, floating around his physical form. :D

I don't patron another forum (barely have enough chance to be here), does Sherlock appeal to female more? Or females have more tendency to go to forum?

There are only 3 people who watch Sherlock in my real life, and they are all males, from different groups of friend. Since we share a lot of mutual likes, they are the ones who recommend it to me. However, they are not addicted to it. I tried to introduce it to female friends but fail or I don't bother to try because I know for sure they won't care for it.

So to me it's interesting that active members here are mostly females.

Well, as much as I dislike this, there is this thing with attraction that comes from a place more south than your brain, :P and it might scare men away. Like the shipping.

But maybe women are more into discussing.

Actually, someone should take a look e.g. at footbal/soccer forums and look how men discuss things they are passionate about. Are male Trekkies more active?

I've often wondered the same thing.

If that helps, at a gamer forum I'm a member of, there are occasionally two very different discussion threads about the same game active at the same time. The Dragon Age games were a good example: in the PC gaming subforum, there was a lively discussion about tactics, group lineups and the merits of turn-based vs. real-time-with-pause-function RPGs; meanwhile, in the Kawaii subforum (don't ask) there was a passionate debate about your party companions' personalities and the NPCs' motives. Now it wasn't strictly gender-separated but the first thread skewed heavily towards male and the second heavily towards female posters. Men can be just as passionate about their hobbies as us, they just tend to latch onto different aspects of it in my experience.
