The hair is its own character.

Continuing a debate about Sherlock-Ben visual incompatibility, because it won`t let me go.

 

After all it might be the hair. Ben has this kind of face that can look totally different by just changing a single lock.

I found some of photos showing kind of in-between state (you know, research purpose only), where you can see both the actor and the character.

What do you think?

 

 

I also realized that the weird look Sherlock has at the wedding might be caused by his hair cut shorter than usual.

 

Sigh, we are on the hair again.

Nope, none of those look like Sherlock to me, except the first one a little bit; and even there he looks a bit vulnerable (and blond. )

 

I just think there's a formality to Sherlock that BC himself doesn't actually exhibit.

Love those old photos sitty.  Feel free to fall down that rabbit hole again sometime.  The pic of Andrew that is part of the Moffat collage has the perfect future Moriarty look to his facial expression.  Apparently some looks don't change 20+ years later even if the hair does.
