Benedict Cumberbatch News

The last pick I saw of Ben and Sophie together didn't show a very big baby bump.  I think she's a few months off.  Maybe in April?

Isn't it funny how he disappeared from the public? I have no leaks from the Current War so far, beside some calls for extras on Twitter.

Also, isn't it time for the baby #2? Maybe it's already born?

And because of the lack of news - a new Turtlelock

I've often thought that's probably why they put that line in there, to twit Benedict.

There was an instance of the upper lip going down in TLD at the hospital with Dr Watson realising even his cane had been pre-arranged two weeks in advance, so it's probably right that it happens when Benedict tries not to laugh.

But he had better make time for The Avengers, because Marvel have been accommodating so far, but their scheduling hangs on specific release dates, and Dr Strange should definitely be in there, with the rest of the gang!

In another photograph he is his own self, albeit in period costume, so this is apparently an older Edison. For once

he will be on the losing side, although the US still suffer from the fallout of Edison protecting his patents against Westinghouse! I shall have to look it up in IMDb: whoever plays Westinghouse will have side whiskers that will put Lestrade's in TAB to shame!

Just a trick of the light maybe? He looks like our Ben here ....

Well, since it's basically a biopic, they will both start off relatively young and then age together! From a practical point of view, I am certainly glad Westinghouse won, in the end!

What kind of man leaves his bride of a few hours to rush off to his lab because he's in the process of inventing the incandescent light bulb? A pretty cold fish, that's who: Benedict seems to have been cut out for that role! We have been discussing Sherlock's lack of empathy and comparing it to other members of the Holmes family for pages upon pages in TFP, after all!

One of your links, JP, led to some blurry images of him with a ghastly smile, which makes me think it's more to do with the cheeks again. But I really can't tell. At least he's not orange. ;) (Seriously, what was with Ben's makeup in the first and third episodes? He looked normal in TLD, and he wasn't even supposed to.)

Isn't orange supposed to be a soothing, friendly colour, which is why it is used such a lot in shopping centres and public places? Perhaps the stylist wanted to make us feel good about Sherlock ^_^

Not sure where this belongs - feel free to move it if needed ;)

I'm just re-listening my way through Cabin Pressure, and it's kind of funny they chose BC, who is now known for his sexy voice to play the part of Martin, who is small, weedy and pedantic. He does it well, isn't using his sexy Sherlock-esque voice, but it's a surprise they didn't choose someone with a weedier voice. I'm glad they didn't, it does work, I just find it funny poor pathetic Martin is played/voiced by the same person as Smaug and Sherlock.

Also, can I get some opinions on this - has someone photoshopped his nose to be smaller?

Geez, what is that from? He's stunning there.

I don't know about the nose, I'm not observant enough to tell. It looks practically perfect most of the time anyway! I only know that BC has one of those faces that can look completely different based on lighting, costumes, etc. He's quite the chameleon, and that includes his voice ... as I recall, he made it rather squeaky for Cabin Pressure.

I'm not sure he looks pretty young. Just his nose looks unusually small to me, I hope it's not photoshopped, but not sure...

That looks like To The Ends of the Earth. His Edmund Talbot if I remember the character's name correctly. And the nose does look a little bit smaller but still totally cute.

Mmm, I remember his hair being more ginger colored in TTEOTE. And longer sideburns. Although this could've been photoshopped up the wazoo, couldn't it?

Obviously dyed eyebrows! What I liked a lot about Sherlock is that they insisted on that ridiculous mop of Byronic curls, but at least left his auburn eyebrows and five-o'clock shadow alone!

I've seen a lot of photos from this new show.....I agree with all of you....he seems younger and he has a different face, so different from Sherlock. Starting from the nose but also the cheekbones and the mouth, in my opinion the mouth looks really smaller

When you say new show are you thinking it's from the new season? It's an old photo, he is a lot younger in it.
