Radio Times recently discovered that an otter at an aquarium in Tennessee has been named "Benedict" thanks to a suggestion posted on the aquarium's Facebook page. You can read the details here.

Warner Bros. is planning a live-action (?) Jungle Book movie (with Andy Serkins directing) and guess who's going to voice Shere Khan?

Oddly enough, this seems only one of two such projects currently in the works, with the Disney version (directed by John Favreau) having cast Idris Elba as Shere Khan.

That Idris. He's becoming a favorited Britt amongst us here in the US. I Still have this dislike for him. He played his part so well as Jim's antagonist in 'The Office'. I hated him so much, leave my Jim alone!

Anyways... I digress. I think I need to work on forgiving him now.

I love the way he did the challenge. Also I've tweeted Fallon & the Tonight Show the video. It would be cool if he showed it tonight. It was really creative.

Er sorry, didn't realize this was news to some...it's been known for quite some time.

We think he may be filming it now.

It seems that he & Freeman do a lot of the same/similar projects. Freeman is Richard the III in a play. They both did the hobbit...

If I were paranoid, I'd say that Cumberbatch is a copy-cat.  First Freeman is cast in The Hobbit -- next thing we know, Cumberbatch is cast in The Hobbit.  Then Freeman is cast as Richard III -- next thing we know, Cumberbatch gets his very own production of Richard III.

Good thing I'm not paranoid!  ;)

First Freeman gets an Emmy, then Cumberbatch gets an Emmy.....

Y'all are silly... But I was wondering if they have began to compete with one another. You know there always has to be an alpha amongst them (men).

This is silly.

Also an historical correction,I think Benedict was signed up for his Richard before Martin's Richard.

The face looks a lot like his.  I haven't heard anything about a Martin Freeman wax figure, although after that Emmy they should get right on that.

This is so cool. Can definitely understand the request to get a Cumberbatch wax figure in Madame Tussaud's; I have certainly had the same thought.
