I heard that :(.

Not only that, but they want to investigate his claim about being wiretapped.

Posted

The scary part to me is Trump apparently got this wiretapping nonsense from Breitbart ... http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-and-republicans-see-a-‘deep-state’-foe-barack-obama/ar-AAnXZdW?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartanntp and there are people who believe every lie printed there. I don't know how we recover from that.

You know what's worse?

Ben Carson, an African American in Trump's cabinet, said that African slaves were immigrants that were brought to the US for 'dreams and opportunities':

The scary thing is that Ben Carson is supposed to be smart. He was considered a pioneer in neurosurgery but now he's saying absurd things like African slaves came to America for 'opportunities'.

I guess this means that even if a smart person is elected into Trump's cabinet, they'll be dragged down to Trump's level.

Breitbart is his source? That is messed up.

And Ben Carson.. aiz.

Well, I actually want to bet that he keeps on going like this, none of his accusations are proven, false statements, no fact checks etc he won't last a term.

I probably over estimate general common sense of people who can make that happen, but there should be a limit of letting him making everything like a playground right?

Not saying that things would be better or there wouldn't be pricey repercussions, especially internally where a lot of people actually believe his hype, but if this goes on, whatever left of international respect would be gone, and it wouldn't be good, would it?

Being a neurosurgeon doesn't prevent anyone from being a beep.

The really scary thing is for me that, there are people that actually like what he's doing.

That they wanted what is happening now.

I always thought it'was a small group, but - well - it isn't the case.

The extent of it managed to surprise me. And I'm not talking about US only.

Yes, that's it exactly ... I'm stunned and numbed by the numbers of people who WANT to believe every word out of Trump's mouth, or Le Pen's, or whoever the idiot of the day is. That's what I'm not sure we can overcome, this deep determination to believe that the haters and the know-nothings are the truth-tellers. The "mainstream" media has damaged its own credibility so much in the last several years, I don't know if they're able to withstand this. I already know people who listen to nothing but Fox News ... Breitbart is so much worse, but I worry it's poised to become a major player.

It almost feel like we are in an era of anti-renaissance, where reason, open mind, and generally brains, are not cool anymore.

Maybe, with our technology and medicine and globalisation, we were too successful and we are too many on this earth. Time to extinct. Or at least lost a half of the population to some disease that has been successfully kept under control by vaccinations.

Maybe it's time to blame the meteorologists for bad weather and the ocean for rising.

Yep-P.

Like I said, apparently you and I didn't know that humanity had reached its peak some time in the past and now we are paddling backwards.

Not too worry, there are a lot of drug-resistant super bugs nowadays, although I personally don't want 'disease culling' to happen. Too painful, too sad.

I don't have any suggestion though. We are too stupid, and frigging long history apparently doesn't teach us much anyway.

World's Greatest???? Modest, much?

Anyway, at this rate I'm far more worried about global warfare war than global epidemic. Although one could lead to the other ...

Well folks, I hope you stay healthy for at least the next 4 years. If you get sick, you won't be able to pay for your medicine under TrumpDon'tCare.

Did you see this one? http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/3/13/14914596/ahca-cbo-premiums-age

Low income seniors would see their premiums go up over 750%. As usual, it never occurs to the GOP that not everyone's wages increase with age.

Don't know if you heard of the last trouble with Turkey. I was hearing the BS Erdogan was saying about Netherlands and wanted to wake up. There are politicians out there telling blatant and obvious lies and people cheer them and want them as leaders. It really seems nobody is interested in facts any more.

HOW the F… IS THAT POSSIBLE!?!

I think Johns I don't understand T-shirt is sooooo much of due...

As Belgian, I feel torn about the whole thing. On one hand you have Erdogan wanting more power (chances are high he will get that) but on the other hand I agree with his accusation of calling Holland fascist, Holland has elections soon and I'm afraid Wilders will win (if you haven't heard of him, here's what he wants to do: have a nexit) like we to be needed more divided.

It's obvious that the GOP want to kill off as many US citizens as possible.

Last month, they removed the restrictions that prevented the mentally ill from owning guns.

Today they're deciding on deregulating gun-silencers:

Yay! Now not only can criminals shoot innocent people. Now they can shoot innocent people quietly. I mean criminals don't want to alert the other innocent people nearby that they're killing someone. Gun-silencers will help them out a lot.

But he also told a story about Dutch Blue Helmets killing thousand of Muslims in former Yugoslavia, while they in fact didn't prevent the massacre (would need to check for reasons though) - and whatever the reason, it's not really the same. Of course nothing beats Conway's Bowling Green Massacre and the microwaves that turn into spy cameras. But I wonder how Turkey want to join the EU now.

It's also the Polish leaders spreading a view, as if Germany was just waiting on the borders to get their old territories back. Nobody sane gives an F about the territories, beside some loonies… okay, in the light of the recent development of humanity, we should pay a bit more attention to those loonies…

A while ago I was listening to a catholic priest on Polish public radio, talking about converting Cathars to the true faith. It was like a half an hour, and he never even mentioned one victim. I seldom feel an urge to yell at the radio, but I was near to call the station and shitstorm them for inviting this idiot.

Oh, yes, about the medical care - I think soon they will just give sick people a rope to hang themselves.
And to cut the costs, the rope has to be returned to the insurance company after the burial.

I have a friend on the far right ... well, I'm not actually sure we're friends anymore ... anyway ... that's basically what she claimed "Obamacare" would be. She also insisted that's the way it is in Austria, where her mother was from. If you're old and get sick, too bad ... the government just tells you to die. The difference between her and you, JP, is that she wasn't being sarcastic ... she insisted it was absolutely true.

Yah. I think it's much more disturbing when the people you actually know think like that, especially those with supposedly high education.

I know two Americans, one facepalmed when Trump was elected, the other one was in absolute joy, saying it's time to be better, Obama is useless, get out immigrants and commenting that those women who came forward with accusations for Trump are merely seeking fame.

I pointed the exit door for him.

I only work with this guys indirectly and infrequently, at least for now, actually didn't know all those views because he seemed like pretty okay guy for me. Now I absolutely want nothing to do with him.

The gun stuff is pretty messed up. Isn't it bad enough that it's so easy to own a guy?

I'm just going to sit here and enjoy your typo for a minute. :p

Tbh I'm starting to think that most of the Trump voters must now realise that they made a huge blunder by voting him in. However they're too stubborn to admit it so they go around making whatever excuses they can to save face.

I don't think your friend actually believes that sick old people deserve to die, Arcadia. I think it's more that she's just trying to avoid criticism from the anti-Trump crowd.

I'm starting to think the anti-Trump crowd (including myself) may be a bit too harsh to Trump supporters. I think we tend to criticise, humiliate etc them so much that Trump supporters don't want to accept they're wrong even if they're given all the proof in the world. Maybe if we were a bit more tolerant/accepting of Trump supporters, they'd be more likely to withdraw their support for Trump. I know being tolerant of Trump supporters is really difficult to do due to all the terrible things Trump has done and is planning on doing to the US but I think we may need to learn to do better if we really want to end Trump's massive fanbase.

But in support of originality, I'll leave it that way. :D

Not sure about others, it's actually not Trump supporters that I have problem with. I actually understand why they think he is a good choice, I don't agree but I can understand.

It's when they support his certain ideology is where I have problem with; xenophobia, racism and immaturity.

I'll agree that Trump has very racist viewpoints. What I find ironic is that many liberals in the US support a government structure that turns out to be racist just by some of the non-government entities it supports. The biggest example is planned parenthood that very much targets low-income & minorities. They also claim to offer health services that they don't actually offer on top of it all. So both parties have their issues and I voted for neither as neither one would actually stand for those who are wrongfully discriminated against because the very policies they support unwittingly and/or (hidden agenda or not) purposefully put the discrimination in place.
