I watch mostly anime. But also I used to watch the first season of Smash and now I'm starting to re-watch supernatural, of which I have ever seen the first season.

Yay, another anime fan! I haven't had a chance to see much for a long while, the last thing I really enjoyed was Full Metal Alchemist (the first one). Anything newer that's as good out there?

Doctor Who

Star Trek

Star Trek TNG

Is anyone watching Legion? I'm finding it strangely fascinating.

Posted

I haven't watched Legion.

Anyway, because I haven't gotten my hand and time into the series I plan to watch and to finish (Orphan Black, Mr.Robot, How to Get Away with Murder, Dexter, Fargo, House) I stumbled into something else that is 'lighter'.

Has anyone watched The Last Man on Earth created by Will Forte? I find it interesting for discussions.

Posted

Nope, not seen it. Mr Robot will be good to talk about when you finish that.

Posted

Yes I did promise you that, just haven't had chance to get to that.

Anyone watched 100? Heard good things about it from many but I just don't like it. The idea is good, but the acting, dialogues, characters, stories, they don't work for me. My eyes actually rolled tiny bit too many times.

I saw the first few episodes but then I got bored. I think it's more of a teenager show, maybe for younger folks it's good.

Posted

Except that two forty-over years old recommended me that.

But I agree with you, it's more like teenager show.

I tried that one, but it didn't engage me either. I think the only show I make a point of watching right now is Madame Secretary. Love her husband. Wish they'd kept him a teacher, though.

Never seen Madam Secretary, though political dramas don't usually interest me. Hm, there must be some other show we can talk about!

The only two ... no, three ... I've obsessed over enough to talk about on a forum are Star Trek, Starblazers, and Buffy. Oh, wait, how about Babylon 5? That's got enough mysteries in it to keep us going for awhile. Although I haven't watched it in ages.

Compared to S3, we've barely discussed this season of Sherlock at all. I wonder why ... everyone's too depressed, for one reason or another?

Only other things I've been into to that extent are Supernatural and Harry Potter. Not seen Babylon 5.

I don't know, some of the episode threads are still going strong, and the Sherlock, John and Mycroft threads. It already feels like it's getting circular though.

I don't know Madam Secretary, Starblazer, Babylon 5. Only watched bits of Buffy, not into Supernatural and Harry Potter or Star Trek.

We have nothing, aren't we? Maybe I'm luckier, at least there are Game of Thrones, Hannibal and House thread out there although it'a not lively as well.

Oh if you put it that way, I can't imagine how crowded was S3. Because even as it is, I am overwhelmed with S4.

S4.. I am guilty, haven't been to the episode threads since few days after it's aired. I tried to follow along, but not being able to read them when they are hidden (and they are still hidden) doesn't help at all, and soon, I am left behind. I can't keep up with it, there are tons of pages I haven't read and I think it's just fair that I read them before participating again, but then, not sure when it would be, and by then, everything probably had been said.

So far, I have only followed Sherlock, John and Mycroft. Tried to get to Eurus, but only been reading about two pages of it.

I've been falling behind with everything actually. My place is a mess, I have many projects I want to do, things I want to make, shows I want to watch, stuff I want/need to organize, skills I want to learn, so many things and so little time!! Haven't even managed a proper rewatch, need to find time with undivided attention and I don't have.

I need 30 hours a day!

I like Game of Thrones and Hannibal but not enough to get involved in the fandom side of things. Ditto with earlier seasons of Criminal Minds. As for time, yup, there is never enough, especially when you're still so tired from the day before you can barely move.

Posted

I'm also not interested to get involved in fandoms for those shows. That's why I try to get the people in my only fandom, here, to discuss about them :p.

Although we can't really find a show in common even between the three of us so far? :D

Are you logged in?  If so, you need to PM Tim (Undead Medic).

I've often thought that would be just about right.

No.

Not logged in, so there is no problem with the forum.

I just can't log in as often as I want (since i use my phone for everything else, so I clear my history, need to log off often etc etc). If I'm able to read the threads without logging in in short intermittent times I have, I'd do better job catching up. Maybe. Just maybe. :(

So the problem is on me.

Eta: I am curious though why the episode threads and many other S4 are still hidden, while the character threads are out now.

You'll have to ask Tim.  My best guess is that it's a sneaky way of getting people to join the forum.  ;)

Can I just say that nobody has to read all previous posts to participate in a thread, even intelligently? VBS, feel free to go over to any series 4 thread you like and discuss / vent / wonder / criticize / fangirl away as the mood takes you if you are so inclined. This is a place we all visit for fun, you don't owe anybody anything except some basic politeness.

Yup, I haven't read all the pages of threads I'm new to - there's no way I have time to read my way through pages and pages of posts, I don't even try. Besides, we have limited material to discuss, so we all end up rehashing things multiple times anyway!  ^_^

Agreed and agreed!

When I first joined, the forum was only two months old, so I was able to catch up with everything -- and stayed caught up for a couple of years.  But then Series 3 happened.

Believe me, NOBODY has read every single thing that's on the forum now!!!  Or if there are still people like that, they're the ones over in the corner, nattering quietly to themselves.

Oh, so that's where all those people disappeared to? The corners must be pretty full by now. :p

Tbh, I wouldn't mind if we started over again on some of those S4 threads, I feel like they got sort of kidnapped the first time around. I even have a list I was making for the Eurus thread, but I've just been so busy lately, I haven't had time to dig into it again. And as everyone may have noticed by now, I'm not shy about rehashing a topic. (Anyone care to discuss CAM once more? :p)

I think Babylon 5 would be an excellent show for discussion -- it has a very layered, convoluted, extensive plot that played out over five full seasons, and some really great characters and character arcs. If I'm not mistaken, there's still discussion going on in a B5 forum, but I never joined because one forum is more than I have any business indulging in. :d And rewatching that ... OMG, they must have a 100 episodes at least, I'd never get anything else done. I think I'd rather just keep beating Sherlock's paltry 13 to death.

By all means, feel free!  :applause:  You could even start some new threads ("Eurus redux" or whatever).
