I'd have absolutely zero objection to a lesbian Disney princess (quite the contrary), but I really don't understand why people think Elsa must be one. Because she doesn't have a love interest? But... um... sure, doesn't mean she isn't gay, of course, but the last time I checked, she had no romantic partner at all and didn't seem to be attracted to any of the other characters. Since when does this mean... anything? She could just as well be hailed as the first asexual Disney princess for all we know.

Is 'Brave' the film they call in german 'Merida'? I think I have seen that one, it's lovely!

I would guess "yes", because the character's name is Merida.

Exactly. People are over-interpreting, imo.

I feel about this the same way I feel about Sherlock ... it's fine if he's gay. What I don't like is -- if that's genuinely what the creators want us to realize about him, why not come right out and say so? If they are truly resorting to secret signs and innuendo, to me that implies they think there is something inherently wrong about gayness; which makes no sense.

I'm much more inclined to believe their own explanation; they want to make fun of viewers who over-interpret the jokes. Which is not very nice, but fine if that's what floats their boat, I guess.

Then it is the one, yes. A red haired girl, right?

Exactly. I feel about this the same way I feel about Sherlock ... it's fine if he's gay. What I don't like is not coming right out and saying so. Resorting to secret signs and innuendo implies there's something inherently wrong about being gay. If they want to make fun of viewers for thinking Sherlock must be gay, that's one thing. But if they truly are saying he's gay (or bi, or whatever) they should just come out and say so. Anything less implies there's something "wrong" with his sexual orientation, whatever it is.

I don't think that it's about wrong or right, probably it's just the writers want people start speculations about it...?

Currently there's already lots of clearly lesbian and gay characters in TV-shows, so I hope that people finally are way over the homophobia. I guess leaving the topic open leaves the room for the speculations (and fanfictions :D) and the talk...(like Watson once said, ....'people might talk'...and as Sherlock replies, 'People do little else...' - that's the goal of the whole thing I suppose...don't know, it's just my guess on that.

Asexuality is the thing that (common) people don't get in a character I guess...I personally think it's cool. I mean, why can't people just live without constantly chasing love interests? There's lots more in life to live for...

Dogs-mother too? ^^

This reminds me to the Sherlockian joke of tea cup with eyeball inside  www.foodandwine.com/fwx/food/these-etsy-mugs-are-guaranteed-surprise-your-guests?

Dogs-mother, of course!

What about mother of all Mondays? You know, those Monday after a holiday or first monday of the year when you have to get back to work. Nah... I say don't wish them anything. I hate Mondays, let alone their mothers.

But for this you need a coffee proof furniture and carpets. I can clearly imagine your guests dropping the cups or even throwing them across the room in panic. :D

nod-skype-smiley.gif It is a novelty item for people who have friends with some sense of humour. Eyeball-shaped addition is easier to clean than a spider or inverted octopus.

Or you just drop one of those Halloween Candy eyeballs in their tea...I buy them every year and end up eating them myself because there's hardly kids coming by. They are like gummy bears, and filled with something like jam (?), like it's blood inside. :D

From much too cold to much too hot in two days. That's a bit much. I feel completely hungover.gif

The positive side: the evenings are true olfactory orgies. And then we have a resident nightingale for years now.

There are only few days like this in a whole year, when you can almost slurp the air like a thick sweet nectar. sigh3.gif

The inside should be clear, like vitreous humor, dammit -- tell the candy company to do their research!
