Nope, nadda.

But I know where to look, if you are worried about me, which I think you don't. :p

VBS, thanks (!) for the scouring stick info. Gonna get me one and see if it'll clean the mineral and rust deposits off of Mom's bathroom sink. :D

Regarding your New Content page, yes, it's generally supposed to show brand-new threads, which is a nice feature. HOWEVER -- precisely what it shows depends on which options you've selected (in the left margin of the New Content page itself), and (as I recently discovered) it's easy to select something by accident (especially on a cell phone). What options do you currently have selected?

Let me know the result..!

I tried all options but none shows Arcadia's threads.

I tried every options and combinations, none of those shows the new threads except one: Filter by Forum and then specifically choose S4.

But then I thought it shouldn't work that way only? New threads should be visible on other options like Content I have not read as well right? That is the purpose. Otherwise the filter of every single subforum has to be tested and that is not practical. It wouldn't help much if one is not aware of new threads in certain subforum and I don't think anyone bothers to check it manually that way. But I don't use New Content, so I'm not sure.

Now I'm *really* confused.

OK, you're on your cell phone, right? Are you using Tapatalk? And if not, are you using the Full Version or the Mobile Version?

Full version (Deviant 3) using phone.

No tapatalk. Just regular browser.

Thanks for including your theme (I should have asked). OK, we're talking about the New Content page that's accessed by clicking on View New Content at the top of any forum page, right? Just now I tried de-selecting all of the options under By Time Period, and it wouldn't let me. Also, I haven't been able to find a way to restrict it to a certain subforum. Please tell me how you went about doing those things. Thanks!

Bit off the topic, but have you seen the new 'conspiracy' that there will be another episode of season 4? Came to a rather definitive end in my opinion, but people who supported the last conspiracy are now going for the idea that TFP wasn't the end of season 4. Why would they keep an episode a conspiracy, they would want people to watch it ffs.

Posted

Seen it, thought it already had been debunked by the fact that no 4th episode ever aired.

Posted

No, they're still going on about it. Apparently a picture of Molly Hooper's hair is the most recent 'proof.'

*her eyes are shining*

But a fourth episode would be so weird, all the other series have only 3 episodes, why this one would be different?

*she goes in a corner to cry*

Yes.

I don't normally use that. Just thought to click that to see how many new threads Arcadia made for S4.

I just click 'Filter by Forum and choose subforum, in this case I chose S4, and as you can see, the new threads appear, previously they don't. (Even when I choose All Forum)6ylkt0.jpg

I'll try it again next time and see if I it works the way it should be.

I'm on my cell phone too, also using the Full Version. Just now I even switched from my beloved IP.Board theme to Deviant 3 for purposes of this test.

When I select Forums in the top category, and then Content I have not read, I get two of the new spoiler threads in my list (and it turns out those are the only two with content I have not read). So that seems to be kosher.

I can't seem to get Filter by Forum to work well for me -- the forum-selection window pops up partway off-screen -- so have not tried that yet. But presumably it wouldn't hurt anything.

Sorry, VBS, I really don't know what to tell you, other than I'm glad you don't normally use that feature.

P.S.: My phone is an Android, and my browser is Chrome. How about you?

I think they call it the Lost Special now. I mean the 4th episode.

Reminds me of those end-of-the-world cults: Oops, it wasn't today, folks. Well, surely there must be a good reason for this. Let's us find out the next definitive date and just wait.

So the theory is that it was filmed but the BBC misplaced it somewhere?

I admit to being a little disappointed at the extras on the DVD, I don't know what I was hoping for but they seem a bit ... cursory. A blooper reel would have been nice...

I love that scene from the bloopers with BC and MF in the kitchen cracking up, because they look so much like John and Sherlock in that scene I can imagine it just them in their kitchen. I can never figure out of it's MF that BC is calling sweetheart at the beginning of it or not.

It's the scene that starts at 1.49

At least you have a DVD! The first set I ordered was never shipped and now I just got an email that I won't get the second one I ordered until mid February. *Grumble*

As I understand it (so to speak), no, it wasn't misplaced, it's being intentionally withheld by the evil Moftiss as part of their Johnlock Conspiracy. Apparently (again, as I "understand" it) the claim is that since Johnlock had been definitively proven to occur in S4, and since it has not occurred in the three episodes aired to date, then clearly there must be a fourth episode. QED.

As for the DVD extras, weren't there two rounds of DVDs last time? Be patient and save up your pennies....

Aw, poor Toby. :patpatpat: I just went and got mine at WalMart again. :p

So if the evil Moftiss refuse to release it, why did they make it? Oh, because the theory requires that it exist, so if it doesn't, we'd all be collapsed into an paradoxical vortex by now. Got it.

Just to add to the phenomenon ... the "Final Problem" thread keeps disappearing from my new content list after I refresh it a few times. I've noticed this happening before with other threads, and always thought I must have clicked on them by accident then forgot ... but this time it's definite ... it's only that one thread that disappears, and I'm definitely not clicking on it.

Generally I work my way up from the oldest posts to the newest, and generally the TFP thread is near the top, so it's .... generally  ... one of the last ones I get to. It usually disappears when I'm about 2-3 threads away from clicking on it.

The only way I can get it back is to switch from the "Content I have not read" filter to one of the other filters, and it always pops up further down than it was before it disappeared.

I first noticed this about the same time I opened all those other new threads, and I recall they didn't appear either at first. But since then, it's only the TFP thread that disappears ... more frequently as time goes by, I think. Not really sure.

I don't have any other filters checked. Windows 10 on a laptop.

Yep, just happened again. Several new posts in the TFP thread which I hadn't seen yet, but the thread didn't show up under the "haven't read" filter. And when I switch to a different filter, it's not in bold face this time either, meaning it thinks I've already read the new content. But I haven't. Other times when this has happened, it usually shows up in bold face once I switch to another filter.

Weird.
