I'm sure Must be hard having to wait with discussing it. I look immensely forward to the episode, but on the other hand I'm really starting to feel that it is too much with 3 episodes in less than 2 weeks All a bit overwhelming.

Mofftiss has said that the next Season will not be a two year wait. Seasons 4 and 5 are already being discussed and planned for.

Janie, the only thing getting me through that is the thought of all the fanfiction that will fill up that time.

Yes, hopefully there will still be some discussion going on for a while.  But if not, well, The Walking Dead is back next month, so that should keep me entertained for a while.

Oh yes. And I think it's much better to have only a few episodes but those really good. They're more like fully fledged films - I wish I could see them in a cinema. It's not quite fair to compare "Sherlock" to regular TV series like - uh - I don't watch any so... whatever "people" like. I think "Sherlock" is more like a sequence of movies. Think "Star Wars" or something like that (totally different genre, of course, but same principle).

Yes! Considering how utterly brilliant this show is, it is more than worth the wait... No other series I've seen quite compares to this in quality.

Seen it Well, the last hour of it... missed the first half hour Am about to watch the whole thing again now. There are plenty of spoilers on the discussion thread for HLV, but let me just say that there was an unusually high number of plot twists. Big plot twists. In my humble opinion, some were good, some not so much. I am beginning to understand why you wanted the spoilers in advance.

Just rewatching 'The Sign of Three' - I think it's the bridesmaid that Sherlock gets close to, as in canon. There was a bit of flirting at the wedding, she presumably is close friends with Mary to be her bridesmaid, so may have connections with CAM too, and there was a rival ready to step in, as Sherlock set one up at the wedding! Elementary my dear Watson :-)

Absolutely DO NOT spoil it for yourself first.  Really, don't.  I promise you, you want to watch it as unspoiled as possible.  I think people are getting themselves worked up over imaginary scary things that aren't true.  There are a lot of shocks and it's an emotional roller coaster, but you want to see this, and you want to see it when it airs and before you check the internet.  Because I promise, you will thank me when you watch it without spoilers.

Having just seen it, I must agree.  The plot is far, far too complex to be summed up in a few spoilers.  Or even a lot of spoilers.  The only way to really know what you're in for is to watch it -- and then watch it again.  Which I plan to!

 

The person is spamming tumblr with it, too...posting the same thing over and over and without regards for the people who don't want to see it.  Not cool for someone to do that..

 

Some people can be really immature.  Like a three-year-old thinking they're really cool.

 

 

For the love of all that is holy, does anyone know how to control this white highlight thing that happens whenever you copy and paste text? The biggest problem is that once I finish the text paste, the highlight wants to continue to follow me around. I feel like all of my posts are a big mess!! 

 

When pasting, instead of pressing [CTRL] + [V] (paste), press [CTRL] + [sHIFT] + [V] (paste as plain text)

If that ever happens to you again, Karie, just edit the post, select the entire text, click on Text Color (just to the left of the smiley face) and click on Automatic at the top of the dropdown.  That'll turn the text black.

It is caused by the reply box being in WYSIWYG mode.

 

I took that shortcut from the right click menu in Google Chrome.

 

If your browser doesn't allow that, copy into Notepad first then reselect and copy again as Notepad will remove all the formatting.

Yup -- it's trying so hard to be user-friendly that it ends up being user-paternalistic.

 

By the way, I literally woke up in the middle of the night with the realization that what I said back there was irrelevant at best.  I was talking about a whole other problem.  I use the IP.Board theme ("skin") because I find black-on-white much easier to read -- whereas I assume most of you are using the default Deviant 3 theme.  So just ignore that, huh?
