We won't survive. That's why S4 is an end of an era. They will have to wait with S5 for a completely new fandom. runaway.gif

BTW, the video is gone from YouTube.

Check @Anythingbatch on Twitter.  She still has it up.

Wait.

Is The Lying Detective a detective who tells lies or one who stays in bed? scratch-head.gif

Perhaps it's a 90 minutes expansion of this scene

Keeping anything under wraps has been their modus operandi since S1, no surprises there! But if they transgress ACD canon for no other reason than filthy lucre, it will be a pity!

I'm pretty sure they've been doing this to make money since the beginning.  I think they enjoy it quite a bit, but I don't think Moftiss take ACD canon to be as sacred as you do.  Then again, I don't think ACD thought his own creation was that sacred either, so maybe he'd approve?   :D

Didn't ACD once said "you may marry him, murder him, or do anything you like to him" ?

Yep!  There's something somehow poetic about an author who literally cares less about his creation than do fans 125 years after publication.   :D

I noticed RDJ's hair in that clip ... did Doyle describe Holmes as having long, dark, wavy hair? Just curious.

I suspect Brett's slicked-down hair was truer to the Victorian era, though I don't recall ACD describing his hair. Probably he just assumed that Holmes wore his hair in the usual way. He may have described it as tousled now and then, but that was presumably intended to be interpreted as unusual.

In short, I don't know!

So who is the person in short sleeves, with Sherlock in the 221B living room? I thought the profile looked like Mycroft, but that was before I noticed what looks like a bare elbow.

You disappoint me, Dabbler. I shall have to think of a suitable revenge....

Client? Given the position of the chair....

PS: Could one of the other mods please move this series of posts to the MF News thread? Thanks.

Could be. We don't know about any of them yet, do we? It's presumably not Big Bad -- he seems to be a suit kinda guy, like Mycroft.

It's really heartening to know that Benedict has never taken this latest version seriously! The chair is comfortable, after all! And Season's Greetings to all fellow sufferers on the forum!

All the videos are so exciting to watch now with only just over a week to go. Louise and Amanda are looking great in the clip.
