Your main objective is to see Mycroft is it? *elbow elbow*

Just curious, what do you plan to ask them, and how do you make it distinctive or at least make them remember you/your question?

Posted

Ehm... nope. The strongest argument was visiting the sets with Arwel. :D Really.

As for the makers: I will check if they remembered me from the last time. :D And I'm playing with an idea of putting on a Mycroft's Goldfish T-shirt for a photoshooting with him.

Questions? There is plenty of time, so it's nothing particular yet, I'm making notes :D I think it would be something about Sherlock's personality - that to me he seems more to be based on House than on canon Holmes... Something about who wrote which parts, or what questions they want to ask...  what Mark was doing in Poland...

This time I at least know how this whole meet and greet thing looks like, so maybe it will be more satisfying for both sides.

What kind of demographic are the participants? I suppose Sherlock's fans are more, I don't know, calm? I imagine it's like walking in the museum instead of chaotic situation, which is good.

There are merchandises around, the setting would look like Baker Street, there are some small cases to solve, that gives you clue here and there, no?

Ask 'em what was the clue we all missed in TRF. :p

I recently found out we will finally have a German Comic Con now also in Berlin :alien: , I would not mind if any of the Sherlock cast would drop by if they found any time for it... :welcome:

www.germancomiccon.de  - first up we got James Marsters (Buffffyyyyy! Yay! :applause:  ) confirmed, which is already worth going, but hey...there's still lots of space in our fan-hearts here, and time to confirm guests - especially for more favourites

I think it's safe to say this isn't actually happening in the US anytime soon.  lol

Doesn't sound like we'll be getting our Sherlocked USA info tomorrow:

"Update on the US event - We just wanted to reassure you that we haven’t forgotten about Sherlocked US!  We have been working tirelessly with venues and are now down to 2 that we are in final negotiations with. As soon as we have finalised the venue we will be able to let you all know where and when we will be bringing Sherlocked to The US!  We appreciate that you are all keen to sort out travel and accomodation, but until we are 100% sure of the final destination we prefer not to reveal the locations being considered, but rest assured that once announced you will have plenty of time to prepare but we do feel it is very important that we secure the right venue for all the things we plan to do.  Not long to wait now and thanks for bearing with us!"

That was nearly two months ago.  Apparently their definition of "not long to wait" is based on gestation periods rather than dental procedures.

Whose gestation period?

The series is already based on elephant's.

Oh, so Mary's and John's baby will be already born, when season 4 will be out! Thay will have time to have a second baby, I think, who knows how many "gestation periods" it will take for S4! :lol4:

It all depends when they want to pick up the story. I suspect we will have a time lapse somewhere in S4, they have to solve the cliffhanger even if through flashbacks.

I was about to say  ??? -- but then I remembered that there's been a remake.  Christopher Lloyd as Uncle Fester?  I dunno, lemme see -- oh, OK, Fester has lost some weight since the 60's, but that's him all right!

Well, apparently SHERLOCKED USA is toast.  At the very least it is tabled indefinitely.

Have you seen news to that effect?  Or going by their lack of announced progress?  As I recall, they didn't give people much advance notice for last year's London con, so I wouldn't be too awfully surprised if (for example) they waited till August to announce an October US con.

Found this as a reply on their FB page:

ok, I will respond to this for you, but we cannot have subjects keep on being hijacking with the topic of the US event its not fare , we are the running the UK event and the fans that are looking forward to this event need to be aloud to enjoy the event and the run up to it , its only fair to them.
So i will say this once so you all know , then we need to let this go till we have news on the US event. .We have been to the US, we have tried to get the venues we wanted in the city that the production team and main cast wanted us to go to, but the availability of the venue at the time we were given which would work for the team was not available. So we are back to stage one for the US event, but as some more time goes on we will find out when some of them team are again available, we will re-look at when it works for everyone to come together to pick the date, and then try to lock down the venue again. Thats the total truth. There is nothing more to it than that. We all want to come to the US but we have to have all the moons in alignment to get it to happen. Its really not easy with the cast being so busy and for the US event we want to go live with at least one head liner locked in so its going to be tricky and the run in time will most likely be like the first Sherlocked event where we did not have that much time. We are committed to do the US event but it will be announced when we it is ready to be and we cannot force it, it just has to be the right time. I hope you see we are behind it and it will happen, I hope you will all now respect the fans attending this coming event now i have told you the totally truth and we avoid hijack posts with this question in future . Its only fair to the fans here to let them get into and enjoy the run up to this event, and when the US fans get their event and cool guests attending that event we will ask the same of the UK fans. We will get to both locations, its like herding cats getting a lot of the cast to be available at one time !
There is no point in asking for updates when there are none to give. Hope that helps explain why its not happened sooner, and as soon as we know you will.

Do you think it's the right time to ask them when, when, when, they are going to have Sherlocked outside UK and US? :P

I want Moriarty Andrew Scott come to our Berlin Comic Con. :moriarty::)

We have Freddy Krüger and Darth Maul already, haha....now we need a 'goodlooking villain', please (well, there's still James Marsters, but the more, the better :D...)

And Loo, because there's simply not enough women yet (only Al Bundys neighbour Marcy... :giggle:) on the guest list - besides Loo's awesome!

Posted

THAT would be awesome, too, definitely! :D But I am trying to stay realistic here (looking to an imaginary calender of Benedicts (and also Martins) activities and all that - do they actually sleep? :P ), and recently Andrew and Loo have been obviously THE con-visitors of the Sherlock-cast, so I thought it would be an option they would hop on a flight to Berlin. B)

I am currently a bit pissy as I realized I so missed the red carpet premiere last thursday here of the new Captain America.... would have liked to know if Martin's been there...and Scarlett J., and Robert Downey jr, etcetc...

The film officially doesn't start before this thursday, but they made the red carpet thing already. :(

I don't know if any of the german users have heard of this, but I just stumbled over an ad in a magazine I got for free in a crime-book shop (yes, we have one that specializes in crime books! ) where 'our' Sherlock&Watson from the TAB Special are on the cover, the mag is called 'Krimi'. :D It's an old issue so they gave them out for free, usually it costs about 5€ or so.

http://sherlocon.info/

It's a very cute little Sherlock-Convention (not related to the BBC Sherlock, just Sherlock in general). Recently happened in Saarbrücken. Unfortunately gone by already last month. :( But maybe there's another one next year? ;)

Was the magazine cover the same photo as the backdrop in this shot from the con?

Nope, it's this one...

http://www.krimimagazin.com/

there you can still see the current cover (there's a small photo of the magazine of one of the top ads), as the issue is still on fpr April/May.
