All he needed was three words.  Shake, shake, shake.

I love that they genuinely seem to amuse each other.

Fallon does some funny stuff with his guests, maybe I should try to stay up for this more.... nah. Think I will watch for Keira Knightley tonight, though.

Good article in Fast Company from a slightly different, business-oriented perspective that I very much enjoyed:

BC's going to have to watch getting ahead of his interviewer, though.  It's bad enough that half the celebrity interviews of him out there are the exact same information; no need to make the other half of the journalists go that direction too.

Thank you for posting that link, Boton. I thought the interview was really interesting because it allowed us a tiny glimpse into the everyday workflow of BC. I'd really love to learn more about how acting as a profession works. Like, how do actors get scripts - or roles, really? It can't always be like with BC and Sherlock where the writers just said "I'd like BC to play this part, I'll send him/his manager the script". So how do actors now that someone is planning a film, a TV series or a theatre production? Is there maybe something like a pool of roles where actors can apply for the roles that appeal to them? Then I'd love to see the calls for Sherlock S4 (or even S1/2/3; especially Moriarty's call) :) And if an actor gets a job, how much in advance before the filming starts do actors get the scripts - how much time do they have to learn their lines, that is? And do they know how many interviews they have to give or how many talkshows to visit for promotion purposes when they accept to play some part in some film? ...

So to cut a long story short: I'd love more interviews of the sort Boton linked to and less asking BC how he prepared for the role of a wolf agent.

Stumbled across this from (I think?) New York Magazine, not much new but it's kind of cute...

So did anyone watch Jon Stewart?  :)  I did, but I love Jon Stewart and watch him on the regular anyhow.

I hope it will eventually be on Youtube and that someone will be kind enough to post a link.

I caught it. It was short and funny.

Don't think I'd ever seen Jon Stewart before.  He's definitely cool.

I loved...

Stewart:  I guess this would be the wrong time to ask you to marry me.

Cumberbatch:  You're a bit late.

Stewart:  It's just as you were talking, I was like man he's really smart too.  Now this whole thing is starting to get upsetting.

Jokes aside, it seems like he has a lot of respect for BC as an actor and really liked the film.

Agreed. He brought up 1 aspect of the character portrayal that no one else had so far and that was how Benedict did Mr. Turing's stammer. He didn't do it as most actors do (on the consonants). My sister stutters and it is on certain consonants and many vowels.

Yes, I love Stewart, watch as often as I can. BC's segment was a bit short but Stewart was lovely with him (I've heard many times that he's really decent to his guests).

Someone told me BC was on Letterman but I don't think that's right???

Just checked Letterman and it did NOT show that Benedict was on at all. So no idea unless he did some special clip that wasn't mentioned he was not on the show.

That was awesome. Thanks, sfmpco.

Not surprised that he is already back in London. I think he mentioned something about more filming for Hollow Crown in one of his interviews.

Yes, he has more of that to film, and then supposedly squeezes in THE LOST CITY OF Z before Sherlock in January...but I haven't heard anything recent about Z, so I'm sort of confused as to whether or not that's still on the production slate.  Oh... and still lots of press junket for THE HOBBIT....  seriously.... talk about burning the candle at both ends.

And then there's a wedding in there at some point in his life. Hopefully he will get some time to breathe soon.

Hopefully he'll get married by the summer.  Did you see the ring from Tiffanys?  Holy moly.... at least $57,000.

'K, thanks. I think whoever told me that was just confused.
