So, I just looked all those guys up because I was curious how old they are.  I cannot believe that Viggo is the oldest!   And that Naveen is as old as he is.  I am not at all surprised that Richard is the baby of the group, although if not him, I would have guessed Naveen.  (Years born respectively L to R, top then bottom row:  1960, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1964, 1958).

Just as well that Lord Byron died at age 36.  Otherwise, y'all would have wanted him to cut his hair!

But, in my opinion only, BC's curls only play well when he looks very youthful, and lately he has grown out of that ability to look 10 years younger than his chronological age on occasion.  It happens.  Perhaps if he gained a bit of weight and it went to his face, that would improve things, but I don't know.  But I think the "Byronic curls" would look like someone trying to hold onto fleeting youth at this point.  Better to just work with what you've got.

Turncoat!

I like Sherlock with the curly hair. To me that is Sherlock.  I'm thinking (apart from the Victorian special) that if they did get rid of the curly hair permanently, it should be for a modern case to begin with and then it just stays after that.  Sherlock could make some off-handed comment about the change that is completely Sherlock in style.  Now if they ever do decide to make Sherlock's hair short, I hope they don't hide the natural curly wave of Benedict's hair.

If they ever decide to cut his hair, it should be part of the episode.  We shouldn't just have a new episode with a new look.  To me, if the hair looks too much like Benedict's natural short length, I will start seeing Benedict more than Sherlock.

Precisely. It would ruin the entire show. :tongue2:

By the way, I hope SOMEONE (looks sternly at JP and Sherlock&John) brought this VERY important, nay, CRITICAL point up at the convention.....

And it was?

Benedict's hair style as Sherlock especially since he is getting older and we're beginning to speculate on his hair.

As far as I could tell, nobody was bothered with the hair length, a lot of questions in the direction of the series, when and how long, why and which aspects, but nobody took the Byronic look, or lack thereof, to the creators. So, Arcadia, like in another round I can remember in this forum, get your lightsaber out for some proper duelling. What does it matter? I did try the application on BC''s face at the other convention, and it looks a Bit Not Good!

WHY?

Why? Because I said so! :D

(Honestly, both of my remarks were meant to be facetious! Or as Foghorn Leghorn would say "It's a joke, son!")

Dear Arcadia,

Then the obvious answer to your query would be "Jawohl Herr Kaleun", or in English "I said 'jump'" Yessir, how high, sir?"

Another little detail spotted by my geek-y mind. The chairs they use at the summit are another Corbusiers. :D I wonder if they made it on purpose... but no... the whole thing wasn't about Sherlock... but then... maybe there were some other crazy fans at work with the stage setting... :lol4:

Oh, shut up, my geek-y mind!

Maybe they had them just for that particular event?

Sorry, I wasn't clear ... I meant, maybe they just brought them in specifically for Benedict's Q&A? Because there were some crazy fans at work with the stage setting?

Arcadia, you have been promoted! Congratulations! Shall we expect more circumspection and responsible behaviour in the case of the hair issue, as well?

Seriously, your sunny disposition can make a rainy day bearable!
