When you post a preview of the prologue of your latest fic and a friend comments, "This sounds sad, please don't make it sad."

To which you reply, "Nah it's gonna be alright, this is just the angsty buildup and stuff."

Inge, I'm sure I missed it at some point, but you teach literature?   Composition?

I also did not know Arcardia taught art!  Speaking of Arcadia, this will mean nothing to her (or any of you), but her name and avatar will always remind me of X-Files because there is an episode entitled "Arcadia" and in the episode there is a Tulpa (Tibetan thoughtform).  So I imagine her avatar is the Tulpa.  lol

I'm like a Moftiss Jr on that sort of thing

So if :sherlock2: is still going in 20 years & Moffat can no longer do it (we still need Gatiss as Mycroft), you can be the latest addition to the :evilmoff: consortium.

Comparative Linguistics and International relations. But I should say, I prefer the vintage teddy bear to the Tulpa, the latter reminds me of the Skin of Evil in ST:TNG, the one where Lt. Tasha Yar was killed!

Egad. I don't know whether to be pleased or insulted. Or maybe just grossed out....

I have to admit, to me that looks more like a Wookie covered in kelp on a rainy night in Georgia.

Oh, that's strange. 'Cause to me, "Arcadia" is the most important city in the history of Gallifrey (see: Doctor Who) and the Tulpa to me is in the form that it bore in Supernatural --

You both are sooooooo far from the actual inspiration for my name .... !!!!!! But it's nice to know it's so admired that every other fandom uses it too.....

Sorry for the quality, a quick googling didn't show any actually legible ones :(.

You mean it could come from an actual city, landmark, national park in the U.S.? Still, the teddy is adorable, while the alternative ...

Caya has a valid point with the et ego in Arcadia allusion!

So Arcadia, what's the story behind the name and avatar? :)

...when you purchase a necklace with a 221B key on it (less than $2 out of China) and another necklace with an anatomically correct heart (seen these in several fanfics) also out of China for less than $2.  Next up:  the I AM SHERLOCKED wrist watch.

When you organize all of your various ideas in iPhone Notes by putting them into Evernote and come up with another probable Sherlock one shot.  Then proceed to start writing it even though you should be working on 1 or more of the blog post ideas that you just transferred over to Evernote.

I always think Arcadia sounds very mythological or even whimsical, in a shape and form of grey Elmo.

Obsession: Considering buying Sherlock Cluedo. Eventhough I never play it and don't know anyone who do.

If we were in re same area Van Buren I would play Sherlock Cluedo with you. I own the game. It's fun.

Thanks...! Too bad we don't. When they invent teleportation machine (why is it taking so long?) I will look you up.

Imagine what we can all do with the machine (and obsessions)!

Actually, can't think of good ones.

I want to see Moffiss script and yell at them if don't like it, but I don't want to spoil myself.

Exclusive setlock, but also don't want to spoil it.

Meet the casts, but I don't want to invade their privacy.

Oh. Maybe could use it to see the actual places of the settings and have a cup of coffee at Speedy's. :)

Nope! But you and Caya are closest, although in VERY indirect ways ..... so indirect, in fact, that it is probably misleading to imply there is any connection at all.... :D

Since I'm such a sweetie-pie, I'll give you all a clue....

Been a long time since I saw "Skin of Evil," but didn't that monster just look like an oil slick on a pool of water?  That episode really bugged me too -- can you say gratuitous?

My first though was that it had something to do with Evangeline and/or Louisiana (hmm -- there were pirates in Louisiana!) -- but that was Acadia (with no "r"), wasn't it?

OK, you like to play pirate games in the video arcade?  Maybe not.

I shall resort to Google (they even have an Arcadia disambiguation page!).  Oooh -- how about this?

Sorry, Supernova!

Another clue: my avatar picture is not related in any way to my user name. (I just thought it looked funny!) :p

But now we can start a new game, guessing where you got your avatar!

The best ever from work yesterday.

I work with some children on a special reading programme.

The passages tend to be themed.

It was the first time I'd seen this particular page.

As the boy started reading, it mentioned: was it Agatha or...

I immediately thought of Agatha Christie, so held my breath and was thrilled when it actually turned out to be: was it Agatha or Sherlock Holmes?!
