Message in a Bottle, Sting (or The Police too lazy to check).

Police, and thanks!

The house next to mine is for sale, and I'm hoping the same thing.

Fingers crossed. The old neighbors were aces, they'll be hard to top. They left us to go live by a lake, the gits.

I just want people who are quiet and unobtrusive like the last lot. It's a terraced house, I don't want to be hearing them through the walls any more than necessary.

And so it begins... my course starts on Saturday, the first assignment paper was doing the rounds on my WhatsApp group yesterday and one person already began freaking out; "I'm not smart enough to do this! What was I thinking! I can't pull this off!'"

Everyone else going "Chill... you'll be fine... you've got this..."

I have the feeling at least one person will freak every week. Wonder when it'll be my turn?

Freak now and get it over with.

Yea... doesn't work like that...

Would you prefer a bloke that attracts hitman and clog the drain with thumbs? How is the IQ situation in your street?

I hope it's not group assignment, or do you prefer that?

Would these complainers become leeches? I remember back then my classmates blatantly asked for my works.

No it's an individual, I hate group assignments. I don't think anyone will become a leech, we all have tutors so it would be easier for struggling people to go directly to them.

Oh dear, I was like that all through uni. Fortunately, I found a study partner who pulled me through. She forced me to take one particular exam by just signing me up because I would have put it off forever myself.

I never actually failed any of my classes though. I was so unsure of myself that I overcompensated by studying obsessively.

I almost miss my driven teenage and young adult self. Nowadays I am terribly lazy and my motivation got lost somewhere along the way...

Mine too, but I’m sick of being taken advantage of and scraping by so I have to do something.

I was never much very panicky in uni so I hope that’ll stay the same.

How were the first couple days of your course, Pseud?

Good thanks. 😃

My tutorial was a bit full on but learnt a lot, read a fair chunk of the text book which I enjoyed a lot more than expected. My WhatApp group is good for interaction with other people on my course, at the moment they're having a heated debate over countries responsibilities to climate change. 😆

And now it's progressed to Trump.

Was that progression or actually digression (most conversations I hear that end up on President Trump tend to be digressions).

Satisfying though, I hope?

This Friday (the 12th) was supposed to be my wedding day.  I've been trying to put it out of mind and pay no heed to the date, but in the back of my mind there are still niggling thoughts whispering that I was supposed to be excited right now, and packing for my honeymoon, and making plans for a future I'm not going to have anymore.  In anticipation of feeling this way, I preemptively scheduled some classes and activities to try to keep myself diverted; but I've had to cancel most of them to pay my dog's vet bills.  I've been down in the dumps this whole last month, even worse than usual.  And this isn't the only reason, but it's the big one.  I'm just sad, and I can't seem to kick it.  Friday is going to be the pits, I'm dreading it.

I'd either spend Friday going on a long, long walk, or I'd sleep all day. Or more likely both since I usually crash for hours after hiking.

Try to find something fun to do that won’t break the bank. While I’m legally married, my hubby and I are separated (non-court order) and don’t do anything together for our anniversary. I try to do something special for it since I forgot about the first one after we separated. (I was devastated the next day when I realized).

Yes to both those ideas (hiking and shopping) and eat healthy. And if it's not too presumptuous of me, consult a professional. If you can find the right one, they can really help. And hug your dog.
