And I can't still solve the mystery of sherlock's scuff :)

Some of the theories that I've read about Sherlock's scruff:  "The Dying Detective" has Sherlock feigning an exotic illness to catch a bad-doctor ... or.... Sherlock is doing drug rehab.... or Sherlock is doing drugs.

For any version of The Dying Detective, he would be moving much more slowly than he does, and to whom is Dr Watson yelling : I don't care?

From an earlier Twitter post, it sounded like I was going to miss Sherlock filming at North Gower Street, but from this new Twitter photo, it looks like my stay in London from June 11 through June 19 will work out perfectly!  :D :P :D :P

Looking at pics from setlock the last few days definitely raises many questions.  Claire Pritchard Jones mentioned that she liked setlock as it helps her with continuity as she RT someone's "Shezza" photo of Sherlock that was fairly high quality.  The tweet seemed to imply that the stubble may not be 100% real Benedict's facial hair or she may need to use fake at some other point in filming.

Stubble is real.  He's at the Hay Festival today with the same stubble.

If the stubble is real, it'll keep growing. What Claire Jones is talking about using Setlock photos for may be checking to be sure that the stubble is the right length for that point in the episode's timeline.

Makes sense.  As I've said before on here, they really do need to do part of the Red-Headed League and have Martin, Mark, Benedict, and Jonathan all have their facial hair in their natural red-toned colors.  Then the case it was referring to can be mentioned on John's blog as the Red-Bearded League.

They were pretty much a bunch at the said festival, with Ms Brealy, Benedict and Toby Jones all showing up. Auburn is his natural colour, so the stubble need only be trimmed to stay the same length for continuity's sake!

I have arrived in the UK and my first expedition from Heathrow to London involved a trip on the Tube to North Gower Street to confirm that indeed there were no-loading signs up and down North Gower Street indicating that there will be filming from 11 June through 13 June, so when my brother and I arrive on 11 June at nearby Euston Station from visiting relatives in Colwyn Bay, Wales, we will store our three bags at Left Luggage at Euston Station for as long as they'll watch them (10:00 PM), then walk over to North Gower Street, where we'll observe filming for the rest of that day, while arriving early on the next two days to also observe filming. .Presumably we'll be witnessing all exterior "Baker Street" scenes being filmed for each of the three Series 4 episodes (probably a different episode for each day). It couldn't have worked much better for the way I had already scheduled this trip! :sherlock::wave::wave3::lol4::applause::cowdance::Worship:

Oh, dear Alex, what wonderful news! This forum will have its very own "men in Gower Street" for the duration of the exterior filming. Watch out you don't get bored with the repetitiveness of it all, since it can take them several takes of the same thing until they nail it to the director's satisfaction.

Carol and I enjoyed seeing the multiple takes of "Baker Street" exterior scenes from 21 May, 2013, when some scenes for "The Sign of Three" and "The Empty Hearse" were being filmed, so I surely won't be bored. ;)

Loo is back in the make-up trailer today with a bit of a bad hair day.  Well, Claire will fix it!  I do hope Sherlock didn't give Molly that black eye, though!

Hmm.... I thought today was a "bank holiday" in Britain?

The Sherlock crew may not have off work on banking holidays.

So it is -- the spring bank holiday. (And it's Memorial Day in the US.) But they sometimes film on weekends, so why not holidays. Maybe that's the only time they can get access to certain sites.

Hi, Hon! Looks like we double-posted from opposite sides of the Atlantic.

That sounds like they film with Peter Jackson...? :giggle: One thing actors always say about him, even when the take was good he wants still some more, just to be sure. Some who were not used to it (like Christopher Lee, who said it in the interviews on the Special Edition once that it was strange to him to do so many takes of one scene),were a bit pissed about it, haha....

Think I also read something about that in Sean Astin's book...:)

A bit of rambling:

To me observing the sets (it's a first time for me) and what the makers post on Twitter, made me feel like following a pregnancy. You look at those strange pictures of the scan and try to figure out what is what, what might be the head or a hand...

But now, with the recent development and all those dark rumors, it makes me feel like it might be a problem pregnancy and grow more and more concerned about the outcome.
