Just brilliant! The Dying Detective, The Veiled Lodger, the diamond jewellery collection from The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax, possibly The Devil's Foot, just to keep the fans on their toes!

Last night's setlock...

Notice the bottom right picture has a very bright light on him - someone speculated a helicopter?

And Ruther on Twitter along with Sherlockshome.net squirrelled out that Toby Jones is, indeed, playing Culverton Smith. With what added shenanigans, we will simply have to contain ourselves in patience until we watch the specific episode.

Don't you simply admire those long, elegant, aristocratic fingers? The fan girls would probably be jealous of that note!

Oh man, that stubble... I just can't get used to Sherlock's face like this. Why give him a new look? He was F***ing perfect the way he was.

But I am getting more and more excited about the new cases. Wonder who the lady is in that one pic sfmpco linked to - client, probably.

The stubble, although it makes him look older and tired ( worn-out?) is the least of my worries at the moment. Has anyone seen on Twitter or anywhere else Dr Watson and Mary in this episode yet?

Don't tell me they look even worse...

I'm thinking not Xmas but just fairy lights, as in a party scene, a street fair, or a commercial district set up to look pretty.  The woman in red took off the coat to film so not dressed for cold weather.  And there is nothing else saying Xmas on the set

Alert for Alex the Dabbler and his brother: I don't know where you will be coming from to get to North Gower Str for tomorrow's and Sunday's shooting, according to the notices, but you need to calculate the time it will take you to circumvent the whole parade ( formerly Trooping the Colour) and the celebration on the Mall on Sunday for the official celebration of Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday!

Sherlock may have deleted that he is her subject, and there is no current King of England, but there's no need for you to go through extra hardship and obstacles in your endeavour to bring this forum information about the shooting plan. ( Makes one wonder if the Abominable Scot is a secret Separatist!)

Don't know what her connection to him in the story is, but some are speculating that she may be the actress Sian Brooke (sp?) who played Ophelia opposite his Hamlet.

Just noticed this link is to your Blackbird Sings Again novel.

Well, that wasn't supposed to happen...

But here's confirmation that it's def. Sian Brooke.

Thanks, Inge! I have relayed your message to Alex via email, in case he doesn't read your post in time.

They're corpses, maybe. :p

I have to admit, I have no clue what might be going on, and I'm loving it!

I did see a fair amount of retweets of Amanda saying that she was working tonight.  I can only assume she meant Sherlock.

Could be! (Though there may be other canon characters with that initial -- not to mention possible non-canon characters.) Do we have any other indications that they might be doing "Carfax"?

Have just read Carfax today, and Lady Frances isn't even ambulatory for the entire story.  Actually, she's not even in it until the very end, and then she's barely conscious.  But perhaps they'll use some bits of it....Who knows.  Yes, Brooke could be playing a non-canon character much like John's Sarah in the first season.

Report from North Gower Street: I just got back from North Gower Street by Speedy's and so far there is nothing going on yet - no filming, no setup, no technical vehicles, etc.  And the address still says 187 North Gower Street.  My brother and I will go back there shortly and see what is happening, but we're glad that we went straight to our hotel from the train and checked in early before getting quickly to North Gower Street.
