Alex, when you're back in London, better check those yellow signs again. If there's still a discrepancy between them and the letter, I'm not sure which to believe.

Sure looks like Wiggins to me too. Ugh. Can't say I am too excited about his presence.

Me neither. I may go after him anyway, just on principle.

What bugs me much more is how the boys look. John's new hairstyle is... well, lets just say I don't like it. And the stubble would be okay on any old character but it doesn't seem right for Sherlock. What on earth are they up to? Why can't they just leave well enough alone...? *Sigh*...

Because then we wouldn't be wondering what's going on, we'd be all "ho hum, same old same old, why can't they come up with something new?" :D

Regarding the one pic of Sherlock where he seems shaved, I don't think he is... I think the sun just has him over-exposed with brightness.

Sherlock with a beard/goatie stubble combo is really odd, not sure what to make of it... I think I prefer my consulting detectives clean shaven ;)

Oh, they so need to use that line in the show! :d

Exact times of filming on Gower...

Oddly enough, that Tweet seems to have been taken down.  It'll be interesting to see what the signs on North Gower say, next time Alex passes through London (in a few days).

And what did the Abominable Scot mean in yesterday's Wales online lifestyle article when he said:"A story that is about to reach its climax"? I would very much like him to elucidate before I book tickets, go there as an interested onlooker and commit assault and battery or GBH!

Apparently there is another speculation going on about Sherlock is kept under monitoring as the consequence of killing CAM and wears a leg monitor (ankle bracelet). I tried to look into this picture and wondered if it is true?

Here his ankles look asymmetrical and there is a square buldge under his right pant leg (I may be wrong though). Is it that so called leg monitor? (My poor baby!!!)

I heard another thing about Sherlock being really sick instead of faking illness . In TDD Holmes faked illness which was the twist, what if they reverse the canon and make Sherlock being really ill as the twist? Oh NO!!! (hides in a corner)

"The Abominable Scot"  ha!  Good name for him!  He is a real tart for a teaser, isn't he?

I'm thinking BC is rocking the Stubblebatch!  Looking very sexy in a grown-up way.... as opposed to his look in the pilot, where he looked like he was 18 yrs old.   But, I don't want it to mean that Mofftiss are making Sherlock a superhero. Yuk.  There's enough of that stuff everywhere already.  It's wonderful to have a brainy rational guy be the protag, IMHO. And enough w/ the killing (by principals) already.  Way outside of canon territory and unlike Sherlock/Holmes that I have come to know and love.  OK, taking my rant elsewhere now....

Seriously, hiatus is a mental condition!

Certainly not, dear clavery111, THIs is exactly the spot to rail, rant and rave about any Setlock we can get our hands on! Please, rant away! And read some of Toby's contributions in this and other threads: she is a past master at ranting: you should only learn from the best, to misquote Sherlock Holmes!

...Or Stubblelock?

I hope it's only for one episode...

Somehow I refuse to believe Sherlock is ill and / or in big trouble with the police. This is still Sherlock Holmes were talking about, I am sure he has a brilliant plan and we're all worrying about him only to have him laugh in our faces.

That red car... Is that a race car? (I know nothing about cars). Could they really be doing a version of Silver Blaze? I'd love that.

I don't think I'll be able to sleep well until I have figured out who the new villain is! "One of Doyle's finest"... That's not exactly saying much.

Also, what the heck are they all doing in Morocco? Finishing up an old job of Mary's? :P

from BC's interview Jan 2014:

So Sherlock returned on New Year’s Day. It’s trying to flesh him out? There is a lot more backstory. There are a lot more scenes where you find out why he is the way he is. The first conversation I ever had with Steven Moffat about Sherlock was asking: “How did this
happen?” His response was: “What do you mean, he’s just brilliant.” But someone isn’t just brilliant, there is something that has happened. I didn’t want Sherlock being easily labelled as being either on the spectrum of Asperger’s or autism. The reality of those problems and difficulties is very different in each individual case. It would have been lazy for us to just say: “Oh, that is what he is.” So that is examined a lot more in this series. After two years away, he is rusty about human relationships, especially with his best friend and with London. And it takes time for him to get back on his game. Will there be romance? No, no, no – romance is a foreign concept to him. There might be something in the arena of proximity. But there is no romance.

How do you keep him fresh? That is one of the biggest challenges. We throw him into these situations in the 21st century and see how he copes, which is always amusing or revealing. But I think it is even more interesting to understand how he came to be like this, in the 21st century.

How much of a thrill is it to finally reveal how he survived? Despite what it might look like, being bungeed is a lot of fun, falling onto an airbag is a lot of fun. People have their own theories, so I’m sure they will be going: “That’s good, that’s bad, that’s disappointing, that’s amazing…” If I was on the receiving end, watching it, I would be really excited to find out what was going on. But as the people presenting it, it is different. I feel we have done a very interesting thing with it. Do I enjoy the cat-and-mouse element of it? It just happens without me, so is not something I really take part in, to be honest. The only thing I am protective of is not wanting it to be spoilt for people who want to enjoy it on a Sunday night with their families. But it is great that we have such an ardent fanship, and that is
testament to us doing something right.

Sorry... I can't get this platform to take my "paste" well and allow me to make more comments.

Thank you for the article!  I was struck by how BC makes it sound like it was HIS idea to get Mofftiss to do / concentrate on Sherlock's backstory?  Did anyone else get that sense from this?  Somehow, I doubt it but.... I sure could be wrong.  What made Sherlock like this?  Is that what the "climax" Mofftiss referred to is?

Sherlock's stubble or John's pompadour?  :nope_sad:  Unfortunately, I believe they're already filming Episode 2 with those looks intact.

That red car... Is that a race car? (I know nothing about cars). Could they really be doing a version of Silver Blaze? I'd love that.

There have been a couple of "Silver Blaze" rumors already, and yes, I believe that type of car (though I forget which it is) is often used in road races.  So they really could do a pretty close analogy, couldn't they?  Except that the ending would need to be different, unless

they can somehow explain an automobile turning on its evil driver .... or I suppose it could be some sort of karmic accident.

Sorry... I can't get this platform to take my "paste" well and allow me to make more comments.

I have that problem too, but there are at least a couple of ways around it:

1. kick into plain-vanilla editing mode by clicking the "lightswitch" at the upper left of the editor toolbar, type in your comments (or at least start doing so), and then click the "switch" again to return to full-feature mode; or

2. make your comments first, then insert your "paste" where it belongs.

And now apparently they are on their way to Morocco (or probably there by now) to do some more filming.  I really want to know what is going to happen next series.  I want January to hurry up and get here without all the months before it flying by.  It's hard enough to believe it's June already.

I think it is called an Aston-Martin (the red car). That's what I've seen on twitter photos of it.

My guess is that Morocco is for Mary's backstory.  Sherlock told her that he deduced she was on the run from something and that that was what Magnussen had on her.  Then she tweeted the photo of her applying a fake tan.  Tan, Morocco (standing in for any desert clime)... seems to go together.

I got nothing on what villain Toby is playing.
Bring the dogs back!

Oh dear. If it's an Aston Martin, can the 007 jokes be far behind? :p

confession:  I have only seen 1 James Bond movie ever... what was it? "Downfall"  "Windfall?"  heh heh.  The one where Adele sang the attached song.....

That was Skyfall.  The newest SPECTRE isn't too bad and Andrew Scott is in it with a great character.

What would be interesting (and they would never do it) is for them to say - "audience, here's your homework:  read these 10 ACD stories in prep for the next series."  That won't mean the stories are the same, but maybe elements or bits of dialogue we'll get to know later.
