The funny thing is the pool looked empty from the surface because everyone else was sitting on the bottom

Weird people!

I think I might be able to handle snorkeling, but any deeper than that ....

Uhm.. uhmm... I actually enjoy sitting on bottom of swimming pool to test my breathing and composure. Didn't know it's weird, no wonder they looked at me funny when I surfaced.

I could give you diving tips for free, you only need to provide flight and decent accommodation, you don't even need to feed me, but the bloke who would pick me up at the airport have to look like (I don't care he has to be in every gif thread)

You might as well say "I could give you skydiving tips for free" -- or self-immolation tips, for that matter.  :D

Well, I do still have my Khan clone I can use, he's a bit wonky so don't expect the voice to be right, but he looks good.

My brother used to skydive. One time he landed awkwardly and had to talk someone through how to sow up his knee.

I can't afford to do the scuba lessons this time around, I just paid for car insurance and a surveying course but I'm bloody well determined to do it. I just didn't feel like I was getting enough air after a minute or so. I've booked in for an asthma check at the doctors next week so if they say it's okay that should allay some of my worries.

But now... my gif. :D

It's a Friday, it's a half-day, and I've got next week off. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I'm going to get my hair done this afternoon though, so be prepared for lots of bored rambling.

I had to do that when I took swimming lessons.  I didn't mind it too much, I enjoyed testing myself.  What I hated was the water and chlorine burning my eyes if I opened them.  We didn't wear goggles.

The only thing that makes me apprehensive about skydiving is the possibility of equipment failure.  I'm alright with being up high and jumping out of an airplane, lol.  (Although I'm sure I'd be more nervous when the time came.)  It's the parachute I don't trust.  But it's not something I've ever had an interest in anyway, so I wouldn't go without a good reason.

That sounds like it'd be me.  I do everything awkwardly.

Well, here I sit, highlights cooking, but can’t think of anything to ramble about.

Turns out the hairdresser thought I was about 12 years younger than I am so I’m thrilled with that, lol!

Me too.  And the airplane!

Presumably my ability to think of everything that could possibly go wrong is the reason that I could write such bullet-proof software.  (Or maybe I just got used to thinking in those terms during my years as a software engineer?)

Why the giant chain? That seems like cheating.

Hmmm, good question, I have no idea.

Afaik (I don't watch the show) they dragged Viserion's corpse up from the lake with giant chains, prompting fan questions as to why what amounts to a band of reavers were dragging such around and how they got them in the first place.

I had zero worries when I tried it, but maybe because I know it'd be over in seconds should anything go wrong. There were two things that surprised me; how difficult it was to get your leg out (mine was blown back inside the plane first time I tried) and you can't hear yourself when you are on the air. I didn't scream but tried to say wohoooo but couldn't hear myself. So I screamed but still didn't hear myself XD, so I tried louder, but I think the voice was carried to the back too fast. I begin to suspect that people don't scream during skydiving because of fear, but from curiosity of missing voice.

My embleer gif doesn't work. :(

Pretty sure it is embleer.

I'm still boozing

Though I think I may look at my slightly desperate texts to my friend tomorrow and cringe... yet can't quite seem to stop. I'm feeling cheery but the loneliness also comes to the fore after a few drinks.
