Don't believe all you see. It's internet. Worse - it's Twitter. You can name your account as you like. There are plenty of Tom Hiddlestones, BCs or whoever-s. That's why there are verified accounts, it means that Twitter has verified that the account belongs to the certain "celebrity" or organisation.

Dear sfmpco, the way things are going, the first sprog will be finishing preparatory school and the second, given Dad's statement ( which is curious, given that he has an elder half-sister) will be in kindergarten at least before S4 is aired!

Benedict was raised in a situation similar to a few friends of mine & a half-sister-in-law (minus the acting family he's a part of): the age difference between the friend and the sibling closest to them in age made it seem as if the friend was an only child.  And there are no siblings from his dad's side, so I can see why he would refer to himself as an only child.

And besides, he doesn't literally refer to himself as an only child -- he says he was raised as an only child -- presumably because his half-sister was already out on her own.

His half sister, Tracy, is 15 years older.  So she was already off at university when he was just starting the British equivalent of Kindergarten.  So yes, he was raised like an only child because she was not too far from being an adult when he was born.

I suspect he is now much more eager for sleep thank talking. But lucky him, he's in that golden honeymoon stage where everything that the little peanut does will be adorable.

And now he's just started rehearsals for HAMLET, so he'll be a bit tired extra tired every day, but thankfully they have an excellent support team and families around them.

Personally, I would call this perfect timing! New mother and baby safely at home, Dad having an enclosed garden to smoke in and indulge in his avian hobby, rehearsals just starting, as long as he does not get too hands-on with the night feeds , everything will go swimmingly!
