Ah, or is Sherlock bluffing when he says he knows nothing about space? I've always found it odd he would recognise the supernova when he doesn't even know the Earth goes around the sun.

I was about to tell you about the "New World Order" conspiracy, but it appears to be the same thing! They even have videos of people like Obama and his security guards "turning into reptiles" for a moment. Scary to think some people actually believe that stuff, but they do.

David Icke. Says a lot of stuff that actually makes sense, and then suddenly veers off into 'everyone powerful is a reptile' territory

Sherlock said the information about the supernova was playing on the voice over thing at the planetarium during their battle with the Golem.

Figurative reptile, maybe?

Hopefully

Definitely. It's not going to suddenly veer into sci-fi territory. I still think it's because Mycroft says something spectacularly insensitive about Mary or the baby after something awful has happened. I wonder if this season, and everything I suspect will happen to John, will bring him and Sherlock closer, because though I love these iterations of the characters I don't feel their friendship is as close as we are used to seeing between Holmes and Watson, the last season especially there seemed like a chasm had formed between them. Since we usually see the characters portrayed in their late forties/early fifties perhaps that's deliberate and everything John is going to go through will bring them closer to the friendship we are used to seeing.

Today I found a book in our used books café titled 'Mycroft Holmes'. Anybody know about it and maybe even read it?

Posted

Never heard about it! Who's the author?

Re Mycroft's hobby:

Reading The Vesuvius Club I suddenly realized that it could be something Mycroft was doing for fun. Writing crazy stories about his alter ego in Edwardian England.

I want to be Mycroft! But I'm not.

Sentiment gets me regardless how hard I try not to let it. And it...sucks.

Damn you, Mycroft.

After his reaction to the baby photo I could kiss him. :D

Sometimes I think we are clones.

I'm the one they sorted out because of flaws and let it to be adopted in a foreign country.

This one is defective, it shows signs of sentiment. Exile it.

The brain capacity didn't reach the mark we needed.

And it's… ahem… a girl.

It wasn't supposed to be a girl. Who messed up the Y chromosome!?

I can imagine the original Mycroft's horror when he looks in the nappy.

Any idea why he chose to exile you there? Ohhh.. maybe there is an elaborate plan! I have lots of theory but it could be spoiler. XD

Anyway, I guess your comment about the photo here and your screenshot in another thread are better kept inside S4. I have watched it, but if I had not, I would appreciate not to know those, regardless how tiny influence they could have. I'm more of hypersensitive to any spoiler, in fact I wouldn't be here had I not watched it, so it's fine for me. Just in case there is someone as hypersensitive as me who hadn't watched but thought other threads are safe. But that's imho, I'll leave to you all to decide.

Ohh so you think he clones himself? That is..meta? :p

If they are clones they have to be clones OF something. ;)

But him changing the nappy of his clones? He hates legworks, I think it sorts of translate into nappywork as well? XD

And he should be smart enough to make adult clones. :p Babies are... you know.

Posted

No, no, he's not changing the nappies, simply doing a routine inspection when he notices something a bit weird about one of them. It's smiling, whilst the others are all as cold and blank as they should be. He orders it checked, which is when the discovery is made that it is a girl. What does this mean - has someone absconded with a clone and replaced it with a standard baby? Is this some kind of mutation resulting in a female Mycroft that has sentiment?

Nahhh. Why would Mycroft wants human? Even if there are clones of himselves. Sherlock is the narcissistic one, not him. Imagine the noises, babies, gaaaahhhhh... ghastly.

And nahhhhh...I think your theory about smiling equal defective clone is flawed. Because, because! When a cake is being flashed across the clone factory, all babies would be smiling.

I think they are kept in a secret facility away where from him where he doesn't have to deal with any of the noise or mess. Maybe he's hoping if they were raised correctly, away from parents and annoying baby brothers he could eliminate any lingering pesky emotions. They could become creatures of pure intellect. Then when they are old enough he can dispatch them, one to each country, to slowly take over every government in the world.

Their one, and only weakness will be cake... which they must become hardened against by a series of brainwashing sessions.

Okay, that's it. I'm calling the men in the white coats, you people have finally gone over the edge. Oh wait, I'm in here too. Hmmm. Okay, in that case, a round of bubbly for everyone!

Uh-oh, what did I miss? What photo, what comment, what screenshot? Do I need to find them at once and eliminate them without mercy? Where's my backup?
