The latest pic I've seen is very nice, canonical, but of course setting Johnlock  hearts aflutter.

 What picture are you talking about?

So, Archie is coming back, and so is Stamford, probably Janine, Moriarty, and possibly Irene Adler.

Has anyone spotted Henry Knight or Miss Wenceslas? Good grief! :)

Well, maybe they are making an alternative universe special set in the 19th century, in which all the characters make an appearance. And in order to clarify the whole Moriary business in HLV, we will now see a different version of TRF. (Has anyone, by any chance, heard reports about setlock at a waterfall...? ) Of course, in the alternative universe Sherlock gets married to Molly and they have a baby about the same time as the Watsons. That would explain some of the setlock pics, anyway.

That would make about as much sense as anything, sherlockandjohn!

... why are there so many facsimiles of the Strand Magazines with their special period Sherlock Holmes band above the announcement? Another red herring?

Oh good heavens, is that what those were?  (I recognized the newspaper headline of course.)

Could they simply be doing canonical Holmes?  If so, those copies of The Strand have a perfect right to be there, since that magazine was publishing Watson's accounts of Holmes' cases.  But I doubt that's it (unless they've got a clever twist on it), and what with Gatiss's photo and the army pictures, I'm having trouble reconciling what we've seen with the modern Sherlock's mind palace or daydream (and I'd already given up on just about all the other theories).

Oh dear God, maybe it turns out that all the episodes to date were merely the daydreams of a kid (little Stevie Moffat?) who had been reading the old stories -- kinda like the final episode of St. Elsewhere?  Oh, please, no!  If they don't preserve the integrity of the Sherlock universe, they might as well just pack up and call it quits right now.  So presumably not that either.

Oh what have I missed, has Andrew been spotted?

The pic I referred to was the boys walking arm in arm.

Like the one where

(supposedly) Molly is pushing a baby carriage? Well, theoretically, in the Victorian setting she could be a nursemaid or a governess, but I agree it's more likely to be hers - and so Sherlock's (!? :wtf:), unless there's also a Victorian Tom and it went past the engagement stage...

My initial reaction was OMG don't tease me like that!   But then the thought of them married, with a baby, even in this whatever it is setting... eh.  Too ordinary.

And that would have been Benedict...if he hadn't withdrawn form the project...I'm glad he did on that one.

Wouldn't it be funny if it's Victorian for the whole 1.5 hours, and they just show it, without a word of explanation or any sign there's anything unusual about it ....

If this story takes place in 1895, it's very likely that Molly could be a doctor (like Louise plays in Ripper Street).  And if there is a baby carriage involved, who's to say it isn't John and Mary's baby she looking after for a moment?  I haven't seen such a picture yet.  I should ask @Anythingbatch.

Are you saying you haven't seen the pic of Molly and the baby carriage?  I think I posted it in this thread... hold on...

I'm not even sure there's a special anymore. I think they're just messing with us.

You know, I don't know why Moftiss bothers to torture us when we're so good at doing it to ourselves.... :P

Also, people are saying this is Loo (Molly), but I'm not sure based on this grainy photo...  although, if people were there and confirmed it...

You will have to confirm it by finding her in that costume some where else.  At any rate, it doesn't mean anything.  I think the characters will assume their approximate same roles in the Victorian times as they do in modern times.

I thought you all should know I googled "insane fandom gif" to find a lovely gif to go with Arcadia's post and like 99.9% of the pics/gifs are Sherlock fandom stuff.  That is all.

Yeah, I looked around a bit the day that pic surfaced and found nothing else.  Haven't tried looking since.
