I don't know about the reset button, but I love "Seinfeld", it's one of my all-time favorite shows.

What 'species' you are? Not human then? Have we been talking to a typing dog all along? :P

Yea, I'd like a rest button. I tend to go to big shops where there are too many people for the servers to remember, but I feel uncomfortable if someone does remember me. The lady in the post office has gotten chatty since I'm in there every day but I actually don't mind too much - which is unusual.

A workplace reset button would be good for people you've spoke to once who then think you're their new best bud.

Oh they didn't tell you?

I'm some kind of android, my algorithm is to annoy Arcadia.

My appearance is probably why people like to ask me what I am.

You know those realisic looking humanoids that are portrayed in sci-fi movies?

Well, I don't look like that.

If I have to describe, I look like tupperware with wire.

Never got into either show, but I do like the Soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld.

Anyone watches Curb Your Enthusiasm or Seinfeld?

Backstory: Curb or Seinfeld poke fun at people and general things in society. They are not usual happy-dovey nice warm good-hearted people. Nope. Actually the guideline of Seinfled is: no hugging, no learning. In fact, the characters have unlikable traits, vain, petty and borderline terrible human being. Didn't dig it on the first Seinfeld watch, but I come to adore it as I grow older and get more and more annoying and annoyed :P. Curb is created by Seinfeld creator, it's brilliant at times although sometimes I can't stand the amount of shouting, whining and complaining. There.

What I meant by the shows being brilliant, they say and point things that is ridiculous in society, shout out people that are annoying but get away with it, and things that we want to do but can't really do because we are living in society! (one of the catchphrase).

Have never seen Curb at all.  Tried two or three times to get into Seinfeld (people kept saying "It's really great this year"), never could stand the main characters.  (If they'd had just one character that I could relate to -- even if they were relatably obnoxious -- I might have liked it.)  I did like Seinfeld's monologues, though.

Never got into either show, but I do like the Soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld.

Oh, right, I liked that one too -- maybe because the regular characters finally met someone who was even *more* obnoxious than they were.

Ah, people telling you something is great... I have an intense passionate hatred of Friends (the TV series, though it sometimes spreads to actual friends, especially when they force me to watch the TV show.) I don't find it remotely funny, I want to murder all of the characters, and I don't even find the set ups amusing. Just... ARRGGHHH.

Oh, oh, so they saw one talking tupperware and have to ask?

I feel judged.

Is it weird that I find them more and more relatable as I grow older, because as said, I didn't dig it on first watch.

On my way to be grumpy oldies!

But I'm really grateful for those characters.

Example, people gushing and being pretentious about babies, and asked why the female character doesn't have one yet (you know, like our regular wednesday rant :p) and the character said maybe the dingo ate your baby. Oh wait, they were gushing about their fiancee they nicknamed baby I guess. Whichever. Anyway, you get my point.

Sometimes it's over the top and doesn't make sense, but the great thing is there is no pressure to be normal and it's okay to despise people, even when the characters themselves are despicable, like real life! :p

Oh.. maybe you missed a very obnoxious thing a character did at the end, which actually, very not good.

:lol5:

I actually quite like Friends, because I grew up with them in the era although we were younger than the characters. The last few seasons feel forced though, but it's probably few of mushy shows that I can handle.

We... have security camera?? Good heavens!

But that is not me, that is fancy vacuum cleaner that looks much better, but pfft..guess who is the sentient one?!?

This is my current mugshot if you are curious, jussst like my description.

But I shape shifting though, I might have post different mug shot somewhere in the forum.

You mean cheapskate George?  Believe it or not, that made me like him even less -- meaning, I guess, that my opinion went into the negative numbers.

The finale was butchered. It is not a good episode actually.

I don't remember which episode to recommend, the Soup Nazi is quite a good example.

I admit it is not for everyone's liking though, but I enjoy it a lot because it is way ahead of their time and defy all other formulas for normal sitcom.

I remember liking The Contest, which was quite a controversial episode, and Marine Biologist, but they are also not the right episodes to explain what I like about the nature of the sitcom. If I remembee, I'll update you.

Not that..I guess spoiler is fine for a very old show.

The Soup Nazi was actually Kramer's friend, one of the character. Kramer was in distress because he lost Elaine's antique armoire to muggers. He was helping her keeping an eye on it on the street when Elaine was looking for method of transportation after buying that from a sale.

The Soup Nazi offered Kramer to take his family's antique armoire that he no longer used, not knowing that it was for Elaine as Elaine was banned from the restaurant for not following his strict way of food ordering.

Apparently Elaine found the soup recipes in the armoire and used it to bring down the business.

I hate this twist actually, it's mean.

So this is to explain that nooo, in this episode the main character (Elaine) is still more obnoxious than the Soup Nazi.

Fun fact: soup nazi is actually based on real person.

OKAY.

I tried almost everything to embed this video, from flash to media to YT but couldn't, so just a link.

It's Jerry Seinfeld doing something I can relate very well and very fitting for this thread.

Yeah, the finale is not a good standard to judge the rest of the show by. For one thing, it's only funny if you've seen the rest of the show and are familiar with the many situations and characters that have come in and out of their lives. But that aside, it's just not that great. I like almost every other episode better than I like the finale.

I should contemplate getting a dartboard. I need to be able to throw something at my wall.

Depends if you're any good I suppose. I'm crap, the darts end up in the wall more than the board, which just makes me even more frustrated than I was before.

Posted

Good point. I might require something less destructive.

Posted

A punch bag any good? Though I only find those helpful if someone is holding it otherwise they swing around too much.

Posted

Nah, the swinging is a problem, and it takes up too much space. Plus it's not as satisfying to me. I don't want to punch, I want to throw or shoot something and see it hit the wall (I should have posted this in "Shoot the Wall", lol). But it can't be something that would bounce back, because it would most likely end up knocking something else over.

Posted

There are dart boards that work with magnets or cohesive covering on the darts so they shouldn't damage much if you miss.

Thank you! That sounds like something, I'll check it out.

Or you could make the whole wall safe for darts.

You might have to try toy stores. But you can get some that don't look too childish. A guy I worked for when I was at uni had one and the design was just like the real thing.

Oh my god, I just came across a video that has my doppelganger in it. She's wrapped in a sheet with just her face poking out and... I swear that's my face. :O I won't post it, because it'll be like 'here, this is what I look like' but I'm more than a bit weirded out.
