As you say, T.o.b.y, nerves do often regenerate over time.  Best wishes for that!  You really should mention this to your dentist, though -- he may need to adjust his technique to avoid injuring other patients (or you) in the future.

Not sure, but I was looking at the replay for Coriolanus and I can watch it in 1 year about 2hrs from me at a theater named after Marion Ross (aka Mrs. Cunningham from Happy Days) as it's her home town.

Yes, but that's not Constellations.  ;)

From my feet to my knees and then most of my spinal column is sore after a day and a half mostly standing at a music festival. But it was worth it. I should think about bed soon as well.

Good night, Jenny. Have a nice sleep and dream full with exciting adventures with our Baker Street duo. ^^

Grumble... Summer finally came to my little northern corner. I am not a fan of hot weather, and especially not of summer clothes. I miss my layers; I feel way too exposed with only one thin bit of fabric between me and the world. Besides, with me it is either huge t-shirts that make me look like a bag, or tight t-shirts that make me look like a sausage roll. I have exactly two really flattering tops, and they are both falling apart.

I wish I could really honestly say "I don't care what I look like, let people turn the other way if they mind", but being a woman, I can't, I guess. Why are we ladies so concerned about our stupid appearance?

I don't have an answer for that, but I buck the system a bit when it comes to dress so it doesn't faze me what others think.

How about an in-between t-shirt that just looks like you're wearing a t-shirt?  My shape considerations are different from yours, but I likewise have to be very careful about fit -- which can take a good bit of trial and error, but can also be well worth the trouble.

So my computer decided to drop internet and can't detect a network despite the fact the the wifi switch is set to on. Ugh now to restart the comp. :/

So my computer decided to drop internet and can't detect a network despite the fact the the wifi switch is set to on. Ugh now to restart the comp. :/

You poor thing... This happens to me every other day or so: the computer suddenly can't "see" the wifi any more, while my phone still can. Funnily enough, restarting the computer does no good, but unplugging the router, leaving it unplugged for a few min and then plugging it in again does. Weird.

 For the first time since I made plans I really realized yesterday evening that I am actually going on a vacation soon, and in a desperate and stupid fit of self-consciousness, I decided to go on a diet at the last minute in the futile hope of not having to buy a new bathing suit and not being mistaken for a stranded whale by lifeguards or Greenpeace activists.

This is what happens when Toby goes on a diet:

- Breakfast: Toast with Nutella. To make up for the lack of a candy bar after breakfast.

- At work: only one cookie with coffee. Plain cookie.

- Lunch: the healthy stuff I prepared in advance while not hungry.

- Afternoon: Still at work and beginning to feel stressed out and hungry. Get more coffee. Develop hankering for chocolate and curse myself for not having brought any. Become distracted and unproductive looking for sweets. Shouldn't it be somebody's birthday or something...?

- Late afternoon: Still at work. Find half-empty box of chocolate-covered cookies. They are rather stale, but who cares. More coffee and cookies. I tell myself that they are very small.

- Evening: Finally at home. Tired out and too exhausted to care any more. Pop something in the microwave that leaves a shimmering layer of oil in the bowl and follow it up with desert, then pretzels because hey, pretzels are still healthier than chips. Aren't they? They'd better be.

I can't believe I am not in my twenties any more. Part of me is for ever 16...

Oh well. Whales are very nice animals. I love whales. I wonder whether I could get a bathing suit that says "whale" on it. Or has a picture of a whale. I bet a new bathing suit won't be thaaaat expensive. (My husband says just swim naked. Yeah buddy. In your dreams.)

For me the router issue is when my computer detects the network but not the internet even if everyone else & my phone is connected to the internet on the same wifi.  Then I have to unplug the router and modem for a few seconds before re-plugging everything in.  And that is no fun because I need to warn the other 2 people before doing so when it is during the day time.

Anyone want a pet zebra spider (not sure if that's the correct name. They are black with white stripes on the abdomen). I have/had one on my car I realized when I got back into it after dropping my son off at Kung fu. Not sure where it's currently hiding after it left the driver side mirror area. I'm just glad that it is not into car.

Rejoice in it! I've known people who actually did "grow up." You wouldn't like them very much.

But yes, the perpetual-16's do wreak havoc with one's good intentions.

Can the last few days get any worse? (Mentally runs around and screams "aaaahhh" in frustration :) )  I observed earlier today that the monitor part of my laptop seemed a little weird.  Tonight I realized why.  The casing on the main part of the laptop has pulled away a bit on the right hinge side.  I've tried pressing it back together to no avail.  I was pricing out a new laptop but wasn't planning on a new one till next year at the earliest as I want a Mac not a Windows PC and the computer I want is over $3,000 USD after teacher discount but before certain software that I need and/or want.  This computer is over 6 years old and the OS is basically mostly not supported or will be once Windows 10 comes out in about 7 weeks.  So now to back up my current computer once the external hard drive is done being scanned for viruses in 12 minutes.

I skipped breakfast and had a very late lunch and ended up biting my inner cheek repeatedly everytime I chew. Bloody meal, literally.

Is your computer spec for rendering, graphic or animation? It sounds seriously overpriced. But then again, it's Mac. That's why I never like it. Sorry. :)

Current comp is windows but I want a Mac since I do a lot with photos and graphic designs. The comp I want will have a 1 Tb hard drive vs. 256Gb among other things. Plus I'm adding tech support related stuff to it so that I will have less out of pocket if something were to go wrong. Hence the expense of it.

I see.. understand. The graphic card alone and RAM are costly for that purpose.
You know what else are good for graphic? Dual monitors!  :D And you should at least consider 2 T nowadays, especially Photoshop files.

I'm not helping, am I? :)

I don't use photoshop but a free program called GIMP (which does most of the same stuff) plus I'm thinking about adding In Design which I'll have to learn as I haven't used the program since it was called PageMaker years ago. Might have to get an external that is also 1 Tb to help with storage and the likes.

Oh, good!  Someone who uses GIMP!  I downloaded and want to start using it... haven't really started playing with it yet, though.

Definitely get an external drive, you can get a lot of storage that way for cheap.  H and I both have our own external drives (I store very little on my actual laptop).

I have an external as well. I use GIMP 8.6x as newer versions (at least for a bit) had less functionality for some odd reason.

Hey, if you get InDesign, I'd love to know what you think of it. I still use PageMaker and I'm afraid I won't be able to the next time I'm forced to upgrade my OS (which will be when this poor old thing I'm typing on right now finally dies.... ) I dread the day .....

Well, as with any software it is a matter of learning it. We have switched from QuarkExpress into InDesign several years ago, and initially I hated it, because... well, it wasn't Quark. :) and I had to say farewell to all my key shortcuts and smart solutions and long time experience that made me efficient. Indesign is powerful, but you need to know it, and many things are not obvious. For me - I don't think I use 20% of it's features, but it depends on what are you doing with it. I would say, in my corner of the woods, it is the standard layout software now, only recently we have been sent a Quark file, and it was years since we have seen one.
