I'm rooting for New Year's, if it's on Christmas I'll miss it.... :( .... and then quietly (or not so quietly) go mad.

Christmas Day would be no problem for me -- but if I were putting money on it, I'd have to guess New Year's Day.

That was me last time with S3. Think I've told the story on here before: got up at 6am the next day, (having got back from holiday after midnight 1 Jan) and nice BBC already had it on iplayer!

Gosh, I hope it's available on ITunes right away.

Well Christmas is in winter, for a start! Tee Hee.

Well, it might be named Christmas Special, because it takes place on Christmas. And even if it's about the airing data, we still don't know the YEAR. evilgrin.gif

This show should come with a warning label... like it pops up when you hit play in Netflix on ASIP.

WARNING:  Watching this show may lead to lack of hair due to long hiatuses and delayed airing information.

Maybe that's what's happening to Sherlock's curls?

And it looks like the stunt double is also in the next Bond film for both Andrew & Ben Whishaw. Looking forward to both the next Bond film and the Special. (November and December won't come soon enough.)

Well, we have another little hint.

Andrew being in the special was indirectly confirmed already, but now - there will be some action :D

In addition to apparently being Andrew Scott's stunt double for the upcoming Sherlock Special, Ian Pead has also done stunts in both of the recent Holmes movies.

It remains to be seen......

Well it sort of makes sense that Moriarty might be in the Christmas special because he's not necessarily dead in 1895.

I can't imagine a series 4 without  :moriarty:

What are all those series 4 promos I seem to be seeing on YouTube? wouldnt be surprised if it turned out i was hallucinating

In the absence of much official material, I think a number of fans have been creating their own Series 4 promos.  But Sue Vertue mentioned (just posted today in the convention thread) doing an official promo for the Special, so that may be out there as well.

Oooh, I can't wait to see it. I'd love some official pictures as well. It's almost as much fun to see the promotional material in advance and speculate what the episode will be about as it is to see the actual thing.

What scares me is, this sentence makes perfect sense to me.

Supposedly a promo for the special is being premiered at SDCC.

Ooh, remember when they gave attendees the sneak preview of series 3?

IS IT IN ANOTHER THREAD?!  Did everyone see Gatiss's tweet about a treat heading our way at midnight UK time?!?!

I'm guessing this is what Gatiss is referring to... I'm still freaking out.  It's the little things...
