Awkwardly trying to change the subject:

But it was a bit creepy, all the same: are they reading our posts, perchance?

Of course they do. How would they know we are so smart, and dedicated, and everything...

Not my place to say, dear J.P. !

And Mr Gatiss has always been my favourite of the duo, beavering away at his scripts, delivering them promptly ( remember how TGG was filmed first because :evilmoff: was still tinkering with SiP), more straightforward ( not all that much more, but still...), he readily pronounced Moriarty dead in unison with Ms Vertue and Ms Abbington, he is a much more serious ACD fan than his collaborator.

Tease me, Moffat!!! I love being teased!

Rumor mill time - I'd take that with a huge grain of salt though, especially the Hiddleston bit.

I'm going to elect to believe the Hiddleston part.

Lovely bit of rumour, but with all the red herrings, Easter eggs and what have you that the evil creative duo seem to scatter in their wake, I shall wait for the series to be aired and then draw any conclusions! In the interview, not even Moriarty's status was clarified!

According to DenOfGeek, "Sherlock" season 4 release date could be sometime in January 2017. "Sherlock" showrunner Steven Moffat hinted the possible release date, if filming goes smoothly.

"Could be," sure, and I strongly suspect we'll see another New Year's Day premiere.  But other than finishing the episodes on time, Moffat has very little control over air dates, which are set by the BBC.  This sounds to me like another "no news" news article.

"In a major boost to the creative industries sector in Wales the next series of popular BBC drama 'Sherlock' will be filmed in South Wales," said the report.

As they admit in the very next paragraph, that's nothing new.  Much of the location filming has always been done in South Wales (and nearby Bristol).  All that's really changed is the studio.

Tom Hiddleston is said to be arriving in "Sherlock" season 4 as the third Holmes brother....

As far as I'm aware, that's merely an item from the fan wish-list.  Again, not news.  But I suppose all those blogs and online mags have to print something.

Looks like my studio about this time last week. No, I never found it.

Yep! At this rate they will start filming later than scheduled and then the ladies in charge will have fits, both Ms Vertue and Ms Eaton!

It's amazing how excited this makes me. Good grief.

Why? I would say it is normal fan reaction. Wait until the filming starts, dear fellow members!

I am really, really looking forward to the first set pics and filming tidbits and all the speculation they will produce. I love how this show makes detectives of us all.

To be fair ... "can I cut my hair" wasn't really his first response to the wig, it was his first response (Gatiss says) to the idea of doing a Victorian version. Anyway, his hair's already been long (-er) and dark for Strange, and it's naturally curly, so.....I still have hope.

They do say hope springs eternal, and was trapped in Pandora's box, but I mentioned Benedict's querulous question in the BC News thread, and there it was considered old hat, in that he didn't like the Byronic locks from the get-go, namely S1. If he can have his say on the matter, they will have to find a middle-of-the-road compromise if they don't use a wig.
