If one looked long enough with eyes as biased as ours, then yes they do look like brothers :)

So this is what was used in that "message from Andrew Scott" on YouTube. Pretty audacious I thought it was, plugging his new movie while joking about Sherlock... Uh..I mean Cumberbatch..and at the same time teasing the fandom with his "miss me?"!

I was zapped by what Cumberbatch did with his voice in that snippet though, it seemed to actually reverberate (if that's the word I'm looking for)when he recited those lines.

Yes, this was the reason for my oncoming baby boom (among the future viewers) comment. Imagine hearing this live...

Twitter was flooded with photos from Hamlet rehearsal. HERE are some.

Wouldn't it be cool if that were a dress rehearsal? "Hamlet as you've never seen him; in a t-shirt!"

Ach, don't you see? The freckles, the auburn hair, the red(ish) beards... very nice hands...

Someone tracked down Ben's tie from the Wimbledon photos.

Is it me or one can see it as a new version of knitted blue scarf? Is he trying to tell us something?

Okay, I think the Special Trailer was too much... *goes away to join Anderson under his desk*

The problem is not the tie per se, it's that both BC and MF have identical ties, check out the BAFTA awards to see MF wearing it, and the lightweight striped jacket for the second day at Wimbledon was also seen on MF at another event! Keep dressing like that, gentlemen, and the whole Sherlock/John fandom will gobble it up like icing on the cake! I definitely need a flame-spewing dragon!

Even the moment from Serbia was magpied from the Crooked Man!

Oh yes I do, but then I am biased myself :) I showed it to someone who isn't as manically Sherlocked as I am, and he merely knitted his eyebrows and "hmmm"ed!

I will never be able to look at knitted ties without thinking of some of my very first dates as a young teen in the 1980s.

Dear J. P. , it's the Crooked Man of the title, being punished by his Indian capturers exactly as in the Serbian sequence in TEH. Sorry about the poor quality, it's straight from the DVD.

I have a problem with Andrew's contrived ComiCon interview: he said that he had been written out of the episode! Episode, not series! Did he allude to NOT appearing in the Christmas Special? We had been assured that the Special would resolve the Moriarty conundrum. What if he didn't get a look-see at all?

I wouldn't take his words as gospel as the whole thing seems to be improvised. But to me "miss me" means that he will definitely come back. In special or S4 :)

It's entirely possible that Andrew Scott is not involved with the resolution of Moriarty's supposed reappearance.  All that we've seen so far within the Sherlock universe is the "Did you miss me?" GIF, which could have been much more expertly faked by half of Tumblr.

That leaves Scott's final live-action "Miss me?" bit, which is not tied into the episode at all -- there's no indication, for example, that it showed up on everyone's tv as the GIF did.  Plus, he's looking directly into the camera.  I have a vague recollection of the show toying with the fourth wall before, but there's been nothing that blatant.  So I, for one, am perfectly willing to take that as Andrew Scott asking the audience if we miss him.

Not that it proves anything, even so.

It just seems to add to those little hints that Andrew is still involved with the show. But of course it's possible that they were planting them on purpose (and made them look like slips) and it could be the biggest redherring.png since the show's beginning. big-grin.gif

Dear fellow members, today is Benedict's first birthday that will be celebrated with wife and baby! We should all wish our favourite person Many Happy Returns! And a :rose: -strewn life ahead, full of health and happiness and professional success!

P.S. Check out www.theFashionSpot on Ten Times Benedict Cumberbatch was sexy without even knowing it for some good fun.

To be fair, his life is a rose garden!

But he's my fave actor and he seems a decent guy.

thk.gif Maybe he just keeps it warm and alive until John needs it for the next time.

Isn't it more effective if he just sit on it?
