Okay, this emerged on Twitter's official Sherlock account:

:wtf: Should I research water symbology now? Or wait until after the show airs?

Posted

I feel spectacularly stupid because I didn't even notice the water until everyone else started mentioning it. Could obviously hear the water noises but didn't actually see it. Didn't they film some scenes in a boat on the Thames?

Now thinking about 221b as a sinking boat. Ti-221b-tanic.

Cannot get rid of the haunting image that the pic is symbolic for the boys' situation after Mycroft's death. panic.gif

Then, I really wonder about my Mycroft's Goldfish T-shirt and what meaning it will become after S4.

Goldfish t-shirt? Why do people think Mycroft is going to die?

This one:

There are sharks hinted in Arwel's photos, some tweets and crew T-shirts from Ep 1.

My idea is much older though, first version I made in spring 2015. Now I wonder if it become prophetic in any way :)

And is that Benedict at your side dear J.P. ? The shirt looks awfully familiar.

You won't be running and bleating with the rest of us then if you're willing to get that close ;)

Other people are saying it's blood...but I definitely think it's a water world.

They are drowning, the aftermath of Reichenbach...

Pseud: Nope. I was only scared of the bodyguard. But in a certain situations I could try running and bleating just to start a mass panic and then come back for a chat when the room is empty. :D

Okay. It't getting darker and darker…

It's from mid0nz's tumblr I linked in the 221b thread.

Just have a look:

That's what appeared in the teaser:

And that's what the fandom found out:

Wow. Um... Oh dear.

Or a reference to Sherlock shooting Magnussen and a hint that there will be consequences for that after all...

Uh oh, Speedy's is in big trouble if there is water that deep upstairs! I'm glad I ate there a couple of times last June.

But there's an honest to goodness shooting rifle floating at Sherlock's left side, as well, not John's Army gun. And anyway, I don't care how dark it gets, so long as Mary Dear disappears from the series for good! Both John in SiP and Sherlock in the abominable HLV committed justifiable homicides, they are not contract/ freelance killers! And they had better keep their hands off Mycroft, if they want a successful S5!

Where? I can't see it, it seems...

Thank goodness I wasn't the only one!  Assumed the gurgly noises were merely setting the mood.

Ha ha!  Yeah, it'd be about fifteen feet above street level.  Unlikely.  So presumably just in the flat, presumably due to mischief.  What I want to know is, why the blazes are they just sitting there while the water ruins their books, shoes, etc.?  And there's an electric lamp lit at the left, so the electricity is on -- yikes!

If I were them, I'd first turn off the electricity.  Then if the source of the water is still running, turn that off.  Then procure a hose and siphon the water out the window into a storm drain.  But Alex suggested to me this evening that this could be another Mind Palace scene, in which case no rush.

I'm taking it seriously but not literally. ;)

I don't see a rifle either. I do see Sherlock's violin.
