Hoorah! Camper, thank you! See Arcadia?! See! Not alone after all!  B)

By the way, does the forum seem slower than usual to anyone else? I've been noticing it for a couple of days; the cursor takes longer to get into place when I want to type, posting things takes longer, stuff like that. I suspect it's just my computer or my wifi having a good sulk, but I'm wondering if anyone else is noticing the same thing.

Not me. It works fine both on my phone and laptop.

Working find here too.

So, what's the big deal with shoes anyway ? o:

Okay, as I figured, it's either my software or my wifi. Thanks gang.

I'm a Sherlockian, since when have I ever been sensible outside of actually watching the show? Sensibility and sanity are both very hard to come by in this fandom as some people not part of the fandom would question how sensible it is to actually watch the show to begin with. Obviously those people have some issues to deal with in that regard.

I had no idea they were a taboo subject, so I'm just as mystified!

I feel the same about those shoes. I understand they needed some with a good grip, and they definitely make sense story wise (which is not that common on film), but their look is a bit weird. Plus I automatically start to wonder which brand of trainers gave their soles to this combo (a work-related deviation, I'm afraid) and it drives me all

It seems it would have made more sense to actually put him in boots and just style those up a bit.

Yep. To me they look like something a hipster would design as an athletic/hiking boot, without ever actually having done anything athletic in a shoe in their life!

(Meanwhile, I just sit here quietly and enjoy every minute of Arcadia's suffering).

Not sure where this belongs so I'll stick it here.

I HATE the costume desi of those shoes. They look like trainers with spats attached to them with insulation tape.  :wtf:

Teenagers will imitation. :D

With shows like Sherlock especially, I don't sit there trying to figure out what the writers might be trying to tell me, I just enjoy the ride and let my brain associate away.

Yup, me too.  Must admit I had a bit of trouble doing that with S4, presumably because the first couple times I watched it, I was awfully tired.  Alex and I are currently watching it with a friend (when/if she's available), and I'm enjoying it a whole lot more this time.  I can even tolerate Culverton "Creepy-Man" Smith.  (Now to see what the friend and I will think of The Final Problem. :o )

Peter Capaldi left Doctor Who. A villain on the mould of Richelieu is exactly what needed to bring back the excitement on SHERLOCK that was ruined at season 4 and PC is the person to do it.

That's old news. Speaking about Doctor Who, I'm looking forward for season 10 :D.

I know I posted this not that long ago, but now it's actually the appropriate time of the year... the nightmare that is, the Easter Cumberbunny!

The question many people are probably hoping the answer to is "No": are they still making them 2 years later?

Every time I see those chocolate Cumberbunnies, I get a mental image of BC wearing the bunny ears, the bow tie -- and the rest of the traditional Playboy Bunny costume.  Anybody got some brain bleach left?

You know it's not safe to talk about anything in this fandom because you can guarantee that someone, somewhere, has done it. I'll just add, that person wasn't me.
